I am shocked at how quickly prices for high series base have fallen on COMC. I get that people are looking to get back some of their money but selling cards for $0.03 isn't making anyone anything. I started putting together a high series set the day the set hit e-Pack and thought I was doing great snapping up cards at $0.10 each. I've got 87/100 so far and have only spent $16.73 total but many high series are now under $0.10 each.

Gold prices have also fallen a ton and e-Pack exclusive Neon Blue Light FX prices have absolutely collapsed now that multiple people have transferred cards to COMC.

I realize many people only care about hits but I expected sellers and buyers to adjust to the higher e-Pack price. Instead, it is a true race to the bottom. The cheapest Spider-Man Metal gold are approaching the cheapest X-Men Metal gold prices.

I haven't been tracking grandiose or numbered parallels, no clue if prices for those are falling as well.

Looks like first plate booklet was claimed today… Maria Hill low series… not the best one to get but at least it’s not Uncle Ben/Aunt May

I saw this guy who is doing all the achievements and 1 guy hit a 1 pack red PMG, he didn't seem happy with his haul. The guy could buy a car with his spending, but if he does some of the achievements, he can get his money back and some. Epack usually is top-loaded and end-loaded, the first wave are money cards. And the last wave, which I'm waiting for unless they sold-out. At most doing 2 box at a later time, if any.

Brilliant business move.

Reduce hobby availability to the point that there is more demand than supply. Give enough runway to allow the prices to significantly rise.

Drastically increase prices on the product you are selling directly.

I doubt there is a significant cost difference in producing Spider-Man metal vs X-Men metal, but UD charges 3-4x more on ePack for one product than the other.

How many neon greens of each of the top characters do you think get made? like will the Spidey/Venom/Gwens end up being rarer then /10 for regular PMG (even though not numbered)? Seems like everyone is treating the Spidey/Venom digital as a ratio of the Neons.

Where are you finding these prices? The lowest I'm seeing on comc is 60c per

I opened roughly a case between single packs and boxes. I did EXTREMELY well hitting (4) Precious Metals Gems RED, (5) Orange Parallels #/25, and of course all types of inserts. I was lucky enough to hit the following below...

So, here is my question. I have an open offer on COMC for the Spider Woman at $2,625.00. I have it listed for $3,500.00. I saw one ended on EBAY the last few days but cant see what it went for...sold BIN/BO for something less than $3,800.00

Just curious on opinions on what some of this is worth.

I intend on keeping the She Hulk Spectacular Rave and Rhino Spectacular Rave and the Spider-Man Precious Metal Gems Red #/100 I got and sell off everything else. Wouldnt mind trying to pick up a Green #/10 Precious Metals Gem of Spider-Man with the proceeds from the sales.

So I'm new to the marvel collecting game. What do I need to know about getting them graded and which ones to grade. I know not to expect 10s. I've ripped about 6 boxes and got some decents I want to grade...

Hulk high series red pmg
Rhino low red pmg
Ant-man orange /25
Sandman turquoise/50
Carnage Planet Metal Aluminum
Knull Planet Metal Platinum /49
Lizard Planet Metal Copper /99
Carnage low grandiose
Magneto low grandiose
Thor high grandiose
Carnage high gold

The precious metal gems are tough, tough, tough to get in high grade, I am sure you know that. I would say anything you listed from Lizard #/99 and up to the top of the list would be ok to grade.

I would be interested in the Hulk PMG Red

I dont know the ins and outs of grading or what the cost/benefit of that is, but I can say in Marvel, #'d is definitely king, particularly PMGs. So the two red PMGs are the most notable cards there. The unnumbered grandiose and gold, while cool cards, are not money cards in this release. They are very abundant not just from epack/comc dump but also retail blasters (which there is a large print run).

I also agree with the above about not grading, but that's just because I dont like graded cards in general. Plus these cards shouldnt get great grades to make it really worth it. But everyone's different.

That's $80 folks - I'm out.
So since I'm an idiot - I told myself I had hit rock bottom with those two packs. Completely flushed $80 away and I'll never get that back.

Next pack can't be that awful.

5 base and a Falcon high.

THIS is why UD can charge $40 and pack and keep destroying us, because idiots like myself always have to try "one more pack". No one, myself included, has any self control. I'm expecting the next Marvel Masterpieces release to be $50+ per pack, and we'll still buy it.

Im not seeing the ebay sale of a spider-woman green pmg, using some pretty general search terms. Could you link it?

As for the offer, a decision only you could make at the end of the day. I continue to be surprised that people are paying around 3k for characters that are not super highly collected. True Spider-woman is a female and also has Spider in the name, two strong points going for the character in Marvel card hobby, but it's not Spidey/Carnage/Venom/Ghost Spider/Silk territory here (imo). Makes me think a couple people are trying to collect a green set offering these high prices for moderate characters. If this were me I'd probably either take it, or counter at like 3000 (well, 2999). But I tend to like things sold quicker rather than sit on them...only you could make the call.

Edit: Nice hit with the green Peter Porker. That should go for a good amount, likely even higher than spider-woman

Well it’s hard when people post things like they did a couple of packs and hit something nice. We have the FOMO if we don’t buy the packs no matter how expensive they’ve gotten.

Because most PC collectors don't want to deal with slabs.

People grading obviously just want to grade to increase value, but most of the people who want to buy these cards aren't interested in artificially inflated costs due to a PSA slab.

I am totally with your thinking on this. Some of the cards are really flat out ugly (Flash Thompson for example). I really like the RAVE cards, especially the spectacular and the 1/1s.

I threw the Peter Porker up on COMC as well, if I can get $5-6K out of those too, I am a happy camper.

Thank you for the input!
