Baseball got with a steroids testing agreement well before the NFL.

There seem to be far less baseball players in trouble with the law.

The last one was touch and go with baseball back in 2020 with a certain cause but they seemed to go away from it very quickly. And I believe only one A's player failed to stand for the National Anthem and it was one game.

IMO if you have an issue with the National Anthem and standing for it at a professional sports game or the men and women who defend your freedom day in and day out holding a flag on the field, you should take a one way plane ride to some other country that is much worse than ours.

At the same time, I don't believe the military should be paying the NFL for that stuff either. The NFL should offer because they want to or just don't do the stuff they were getting paid for. I'm not sure it was a good investment for the military. I don't see how putting military on the football field holding a flag or doing a flyover is better for recruitment than TV ads and school visits.

So it’s ok if baseball changes the rules, the players do steroids, players get in trouble and are woke but not other sports?

You’re full of it kind sir

You know what they say about opinions.

And it's not just the NFL, though that is the largest "target audience" for the military. MLB has a lot of nonsense as well.

How bad is the Frenzy Jinx?

My best friend's son had his first little league soccer game this weekend. I called to wish the little guy a good game (his father and I played on the same team growing up for 10+ seasons).

I got a text this morning letting me know they lost 24-1.

Yep, twenty-four to one.

That’s not a jinx. His kid and their team just suck at soccer.

True, they should quit soccer like majestik quit football.

I just said I hate that Manfred is changing a ton of rules. I believe I made a comment in the baseball rule changes coming out that it was turning into the NFL. It still isn't as bad though as up until only a year or two ago did we start to see rule changes being shoved down the fans throats were as the NFL has done this every year for 10/15 Years? If the MLB continues to change a ton of rules year after year, I will have to re-evaluate my stance on watching.

I didn't say anything about the players doing steroids. MLB baseball players and owners took a stand and actually decided stringent testing was what was best for the league and followed through. The NFL players have tried everything they can to get out of testing for obvious reasons.

You aren't going to have any sport that rids itself of criminals in the ranks. Unlike the NFL though, you don't see a baseball player on the front page headlines monthly breaking the law.

As I said, and I believe I discussed it in this thread when it was happening (even with my beloved Yankees) that if MLB continued to shove woke causes down our throats, I would stop watching. They did it for a brief period of time when it was all the rage and have been pretty much let it go by the wayside.

Once again, paying to advertise on TV or on the jumbotron during games is OK. Paying the leagues to act like they are patriotic is a waste of taxpayers money; NFL or MLB.

Only on Blowout would me saying "Hey Boo, I'm rooting for your kids at their next event" sound like a threat.

All the best to your family, Boo.

Wrong. When I coached the Boo kids when they were younger I let them get their hat trick and then they played defense the rest of the time to preserve the shootout. I would also have the kids on our team that sucked stand in front of the goal and have the Boo kids take it down and pass it to them, trying to get them a goal. You should have seen the look in some of their eyes when they would score their one and only goal...ever. Even you would have been happy for them.
