I read that line specifically in article on MLB.com, and wasn't sure what to make of it as I hadn't seen Gallo play much previously.

As for him getting better pitches to hit since the trade, it's absolutely happening. Dodgers have 7 hitters in the NL Top 40 for on-base percentage. Yankees only have 4 in the AL Top 40 for the same. As of a couple days ago, the Dodgers 7-8-9 hitters had been better than the 1-2-3 hitters of 16 other teams.
