My co-worker got pulled over coming back from men's softball tonight. He was driving a city vehicle and got pulled over by a city cop for a headlight being out. The city vehicle I was driving also has a headlight out. We've both told our supervisors multiple times, and tried taking them to the city garage to get fixed. Garage keeps saying they "don't have time to fit them in". Also, the rec mobile window broke, won't go up, and I now have a trash bag over it in case it rains.

It's 1 month after a judge signs off on it in Maryland. I had to evict a tenant once. I was dumb enough to be nice around Christmas time and believe their lies about paying extra to make up for the 4 months of rent they hadn't paid me.

Believe me, when you are a landlord and bleeding money because of crappy renters, you wouldn't think twice about evicting them. I lost about $10,000 out of pocket thanks to them between rent, damages, and an electric bill which they claimed they couldn't get in their name due to credit issues.

The Lebanon County Convention Parade last Saturday was great. Clouds in the morning drove the perfectionists away from being pain in the butts. Was sunny and wonderful for some late staging photos and the parade.

This week just confirmed that Ocean City, Maryland is the worst. We'll never go back there for family vacation. I'll just go to the convention myself like I used to. There is hardly anything to do, family-wise, and even the restaurants are getting worse. Restaurant service sucked and of course prices were high. The only fun time we had was at the First Responder Night at Jolly Rogers on Monday. We had dinner with another fire department member and his family and then my Son rode tons of rides and played mini golf on both courses. We went up to Delaware to the outlet malls and stopped at the outlet mall on the way down too in Queen Anne. The condo was great.

The convention was dead this year. They were missing some major manufacturers of fire and ambulances and they weren't many vendors for other stuff. I was able to get some stuff posed on Tuesday's move-out including both of the Pierce Ascendant Towers that were on display.

The parade was decent. 1 hr 11 minutes which is more than I thought it would be. It got real windy and cold during it though.

So we had a mixed emotions incident down in OC. We were coming back from Jolly Rogers and the 1st Responders Night and were sitting at the light to make the u-turn to go back to our hotel when police, an ambulance, and an engine passed us. They stopped a half a block up from the turn around; a block and half from our hotel. I watched the whole thing from our balcony and was listening to the scanner. Priority 4 pedestrian hit my car.

We later found out it was a firefighter in town for the convention. I then find out from a friend who knows the guys sister it was a suicide. The dude just lost a couple month old child in May. My sadness turned to anger thinking about the person's life he just ruined by being selfish and stepping out in front of a car. Especially since the first rumors came out that the driver ran a red light.

The entire fire department came down for the parade. Some of my friends took a group shot at the inlet and gave their condolences. His Dad is the Chief and they had all of these signs up saying they were doing this for the guy. My thinking was maybe if they had dome more for him beforehand he would still be alive, his family wouldn't be devastated, and an innocent life wouldn't have been ruined as that driver will probably be haunted forever.

Just another example of the lack of mental health help in this country.

Forgot to mention, the name change for the state association failed in voting. We will remain the Maryland State Firemen's Association. Woke Montgomery County Commissioner and the paid firemen (not even part of the association) who complained can go pound sand.

I had two new fence gates put on while we were gone, so now the home owners association can get off my back.

Nope. I'm going to buy a custom case for it before I put it together. That way, I can put it on my credenza.

It wasn't good (I read it early this morning) until Ruggy just white knighted for the OP and I'm guessing to go against you!
