Topps is obviously incompetent, but people should have known this was going to happen from the start. Its one thing to get an order or two in when they first reposted, but after a period of time and they were still available it was obviously a mistake. Anyone who kept ordering should have known better. I was a couple hours late realizing they had become available again. After seeing the quantity that had been ordered there was no way I was ordering anything.

People were naive in thinking Topps had all these extra boxes to purchase from cancelling bot orders. If it sounds to good to be true...

I knew what I was getting into for sure..i just figured that knowing my luck if I didn't try an order..i would've missed out. Of course as the night went on and it was still up, I figured no way I was gonna get my order

It's not that they made a mistake. It's the lack of communication that's the problem.

Worst thing that can happen is an order is cancelled. $200 in limbo for a few days...not a big deal.

Definitely figured it was a mistake, but having $200 tied up on a cc is well worth the shot.

There is no downside totrying to get a box. And yes, the idea that bot orders were cancelled was a possibility - none of us knew what was going on. Obviously the longer they stayed in stock, the more likely that it was a mistake.

Looks like topps butcherd the S2 checklist. So those Montgomery complete sets that had a chance at some huge upside have now been deflated.

Yup, have no idea or explanation of what is actually happening. Because some orders from Thursday night are still live and others canceled. Or people got accused of botting during the main release who weren’t. Just mass confusion

At least Update Sapphire will be huge this year. Let's see if they keep that $150 price point like they have the past 2 years...

Ah damn, sounds challenging. Fortunately, Topps and Target will likely impose limits of like 1-3 and 3, respectively. I probably won't go crazy with Chrome Update in the case that any are held back to 2023 lolol

I saw someone tweet about buying a Sapphire update box in a physical Target store last week. Have you heard of that? He did show the receipt but that seems kind of like chancy for Target to have a $150 box on the shelves.

I never heard of any being in store, that sounds like a return from an online purchase if I had to guess. I have a few I bought from topps I’d like to return if i could lol.

2021/22 Bowman University Basketball is up on Topps for $159.99 a box. Cheaper options on Ebay if someone is looking.

Surprised we didn't get a presale on this since we did with football.
