Easily the quickest turn-around I have received on the update to an Elite Scan
Sent 8/18/21, received back today 8/20/21. I really do not get how it now has the 'item stored remotely' tag now. There is no way it actually moved over elsewhere and then was scanned and processed in less than a two day period. ![]() Kills the whole idea of sending a card for an elite scan so you can auction it.

Wow, my submission at the National that was due 12/6 already went to 20 percent progress today, must only be a few weeks out from getting listed?

Explanation for anyone who may have been curious: used to tag items moving through the warehouse and should be removed when scanning is done and it is placed with other elite items.

That % has very little to do with the progress. Have seen them say 5% with most cards already uploaded before. Have one that is at 100% but has had 20 cards not loaded for over a year now.

I have a couple of batches which have been fully processed, but still show "20%" on the Processing Status page. Heck, I still have a batch from 2014 which shows 99%.
They seem to be making actual progress, though. I submitted 1200 cards for "16 week" processing a while back. They have a due date of October 5, but about 940 have already been processed. About 140 were dropped into my account last night. With the "16 week" processing, they might have finally reached a point where they are underpromising and overdelivering. This is preferable to last year, where items were submitted for "4 week" processing and then actually took 8 months. It isn't just COMC, though. We had some furniture delivered the other day, which was originally purchased in March. |

I'll admit it I'm an idiot...and its been over a year since I've lowered the prices on any of my inventory. Going in to do that today and totally forgot what the hot keys are to reprice something the same price as the previously priced card. Couldnt find with my google search. Appreciate some insight

When you're pricing cards in your inventory, and you want to price a few in a row at the same price, you sort the cards you want to price and then put $1 (or whatever) in for the first price. When you press enter, the cursor moves to the next card in line. If you type in **, the system will price that card at a dollar too. And it will keep doing that until the end of the page. So if you're pricing 100 straight ePack commons that you want to list for 0.05 each, you just price the first one 0.05, then ** through the end of the page and all hundred will be listed at a nickel each.
Make sure that you have your more valuable cards sorted properly first! You don't want to accidentally price a $20 card for a nickel and then watch it sell. Yes, you can ask COMC to reverse that transaction, but you need to be careful doing it. |

This account just bought a .91 cent card from me and repriced to 1.70. Would Dr Beckett really be trying to make .60 cents on a card?

From what I heard on the podcast, if he feels strongly about the $1.70 price point, he will either submit his own card, or buy some other person's card and bring it up to the $1.70 price point. He also feels strongly about the $1.70 price point, since it appears to the retail buyer as $1.95, which is less than $2. The person interviewing him admitted to frequently submitting items for 50 cents to price at 74 cents, if they felt strongly about the price, and also buying many ePack items for 1 to 2 cents to reprice at 38 cents. I've experienced many times people buying an item for 1 cent and immediately repricing it for 2 cents, or buying items at 2 cents and immediately repricing for 3 to 5 cents, so a 60 cent margin is a king's ransom by comparison. |

Man it is sort of comical to hit the $10 shipping option and say thanks we will get that out in 5 months.. maybe... and we have 1 million orders ahead of yours.. can you imagine if any other company did this THEY WOULD GET DESTROYED on twitter and no longer exist lol.

So today I had a pretty bad issue with a COMC cards condition not matching the scan. I had bought a very nice looking 1988 Fleer #120 (All-Star) Jordan sometime back and got the shipment today. There was no other issue with any of the other cards in the shipment, and nothing was amiss with the packaging. Sometimes the cards move around and get close to falling out of the toploader but that wasn't an issue this time.
COMC scan - ![]() My scan - ![]() You can see on the top left edge above the "ha" in Michael there is now a rather large indentation/impact. Very unfortunate. |

I received an Economy order yesterday that was requested on 3/23/2021 and projected to ship 7/14/2021. Everything looked good in the order, but I noticed that they included individual paper slips identifying each card in every penny sleeve (137 cards in total). I don't recall COMC shipping cards this way before, but I have to imagine this is an incredibly time consuming activity unless it somehow makes shipping more efficient now.

It’s a part of their new automated process. (And i believe solves the source of the major screw-ups in February? Anyone know if all of those orders have been addressed yet, or is it just tough luck we’ve lost your cards?) |
