Adjusting quickly is what he does. We saw it in the HR derby as well, he adjusted on the fly to how Brown was throwing. No other player would be able to adjust like that to do what he does.

This is why a pitcher can’t throw to him twice in the same manner. It is going to come down to either pitch differently to him every time, or pitch around him. Pitching around him is too dangerous when this lineup is healthy. Pitch around him to face Rendon, Fletcher, Walsh, Upton and who was it… Trout?

No matter how hot Ohtani gets, walking him is just as dangerous.

Watching some of the content from the Dallas Card show that is coming out and saw this. Apparently the seller turned down $75k.

Far from "true" - that image is from the Walmart complete sets. Cool image, but not on the #700 or even HMT1 level.

Agree, the prices do not make sense. The current prices on my cards ending tonight are much higher than what I thought they would fetch and there is more than an hour left for the auctions to end. Perhaps my expectations were low.

It's tough cause everyone is trying to make a buck on the next hot thing and for good or bad, that's Ohtani right now. When a card increases in value by 5-10x over a few months, this kind of stuff does happen.

Think of it this way - he probably needs the money more than you do to go through that kind of trouble and clown show.

you might be on to something, checking his Feedback history and it appears that Luciano Pavarotti card he had for sale only netted him $3.25
