So yeah, there's the 9% fee, but that's comparable to ebay's take. But there's a convenience factor... it's nice to have an integrated sales platform where you can list and sell your cards, and all of the payments are processed on the same platform. Sure, there's the additional fee, but if you've garnered a dedicated following on social media, you can use the live feature to drive engagement to your listings, generate competition, sell for higher amounts, and turn sales quicker and easier than going through the process of listing on ebay, sharing posts across multiple social media platforms, and managing sales and shipping across multiple payment platforms. Sure makes tax season a whole lot easier if you can reconcile sales from a single platform instead of dumping records from a handful of payment portals into a spreadsheet, too.
So to each his/her own, but it can definitely be a handy tool to drive eyes to your cards.
