Default Best Insert Sets of the 1990s

OK here we go what are your favorite sets of the 1990s. I dont mean the rarest and most expensive, I mean Favorite. No rules here just Opinions. There are no wrong answers I will go first
1. 1992 Diamond Kings.....One of the first sets I started chasing as a kid.
2. 1991-1996 Donruss Elite...These were IMPOSSABLE to pull and definately one of my favorite sets.
3. 1993 SP PLatinum Power
4. 1993 Stadium Club 1st Day Issues....At one per box to get yuor favorite player was almost imposable, not to mention as a kid I pulled a Juan Gonzales that was worth like $300 at the time so it was big deal for me
5. 1995 Zenith Z-team
Runner Up Team Pinnacle 1992-1995
These are just my favorites...You can tell I started collecting when I was a kid in the 1990's These are some of the sets that just made me drool at the card shop looking in the cases.

Power Alley especially the Die Cuts, Ultra Hitting Machines, Circa Rave Reviews, Topps Gallery of Heroes, Stadium Club Triumvirate, off the top of my head.

Not an insert, but I absolutely love the Atomic Refractors of the 90’s, especially 1997. Also EX Credentials parallels and Elite Status parallels before the brand got destroyed.

1998 Donruss Crusade comes to mind fairly quickly.
As stated previous by someone Atomic Refractors from the mid-late 90s are always nice.
Fleer Ultra Thunderclap
Some of the D/L/P products that featured wood grain cards come to mind also.
I think some of the ones that get overlooked are some of the Pacific insert cards.

I would add a few (there are so many): 1993 finest refractors, 1994 and 1997 Flair Hot Glove, 1998 Ultra Diamond Immortals…

I think the general consensus whenever this same topic is regurgitated tri-annually is 1993 Finest Refractors and then everything else

Isn’t there a moderately long running thread on this idea, loaded up with cool pucs, in here somewhere? Could we get a link to that?

The post was kind of in jest considering the number of great inserts/parallels made in the 90s, but almost none of them epitomize the 90s quite like the Established set does - crazy design, tons of colors, great pictures in general, one of the best refractor finishes of any set made, dual sided refractor finish, etc. Just one of the best sets made.

Gotcha. I do like the backs there and that looks much better than the photos on Ebay. I was working at a card shop when Mystique came out and I have no memory of anyone ever even asking about these and it was a reasonably popular set. I guess the low print run has something to do with it, but we had plenty of folks chasing stuff wit similar numbers. There were so many insert sets in 99 it would be easy to miss. I'd be mildly interested in a Maddux for about 20.00, but don't have to worry about that happening. Just saw that there are only 10 cards in the set. With only 1000 total, I'm sure most people didn't really know about it at the time.

1997 Stadium Club Firebrand

Die-Cut cards made out of actual wood. Super condition-sensitive because the wood is so thin that any kind of moisture over the years caused warping, expansion, contraction, etc.

But a sharp set to see in-hand.
