Yeah I watched the footage. The way he came down so hard. I’m gonna say ACL with some other potential structural damage. Usually an ACL alone won’t keep you down so I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a bone fracture or meniscus damage as well.

Hope I’m wrong

I mean maybe, he missed the catch. I don't how fast Jazz is or how quickly the other defenders go there. I just didn't realize the Marlins were taking a jab. It was an honest question.

Seriously. You'd think he literally died by some of these comments.

I have little to no money in acuna. But people sprinting to this thread, people who have clearly posted very little of ever to this thread… distasteful. That’s the point.

Whether people have a bunch of $$$ in him or not, no other reason to spring here and make those comments if you aren’t jealous and looking to get a reaction on from people who:

A. Invested in acuna
B. Care about acuna
C. Both

I had a few acunas but sold them all. I came in here as a baseball fan. Obviously this is big news in the world of mlb.

This could happen to anybody, tatis, soto, vlad....not lost on me.

Many Acuna portfolios hit hard today. But that’s okay, he isn’t DogeCoin. Maybe neither were destined for the moon but Acuna is an amazing player to watch. If you love him you will be there for him in 2022 no matter how this affects him going forward.

My heart hurts as a baseball fan and for Acuna collectors. But if you’re just in it for the money and superiority of flaunting 10s and 9.5s, then this is a deep wound and the risk you take as an investor.

yup and yup! should have sold his stuff back in March...but was really thinking he was going to go off this year. this injury sucks. his cards will come crashing down hard now, which is a good buy opportunity for a lot of people, be it Acuna fans or not.

I don't see prices crashing down. Maybe a slight, very slight pull back but not crashing down. I remember with trout couple years ago he had an injury and his prices didn't really budge.

Chipper Jones...HOFer:
Chipper Jones debuted on September 11, 1993, as the youngest player in the league.[20] In 1994, he was expected to compete for the starting left field job after veteran Ron Gant broke his leg during an offseason dirt bike accident.[21][22] However, Jones suffered an ACL tear in his left knee in spring training.

This is a huge bummer. Especially when it looked like he was taking his game to the next level this season.

you can be both. There's people who have many hundreds if not thousands into him so obviously there's going to be concern financially that he's able to bounce back and be the same player.

Be better! Lol

It's considered tone-deaf to celebrate a play that resulted in a player writhing on the ground in pain, possibly sustaining a season-ending injury. I mean, he was crying while being carted off the field.

The Marlins have a long-standing feud with Acuna -- they've hit him 7 times.

I remember a couple of years back Harper went down in a grotesque way at first base and all the online amateurs were pronouncing it catastrophic and it turned out not to be. Hopefully that will be the case here, or worst case he'll be back next year fully healthy.

Only if you consider internet diagnoses official. Otherwise it's too soon.
