Another rough game. Don’t know if we can pull off the series win unless we get Conley back. Our ball movement has just looked so stagnant without him, really need him to help control the flow of the game, otherwise everyone sits there and watches Donovan till the end of the shot clock.

No Harden or Kyrie, can KD pull it off today? Huge game...winner of this one takes the series IMO.

Don’t except him to play any better than he did in game 4.

I love how quiet this thread is about PG.

"Great look. Great look. I just didn't have the lift," said Embiid, who has played this Eastern Conference semifinal series on a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. "Thought I got fouled too. But usually, I would go up, especially for a bucket like that, try to dunk it. Try to get fouled and get an and-1. But ... not being able to jump for obvious reasons. ... It's tough."

Current favorites to win the NBA Championship.

IMO, of course.

1. Clippers
2. Bucks
3. Suns
4. Jazz
5. Sixers
6. Nets
7. Hawks

My money is on Clippers or Suns, but I'm going Clippers. I'm not counting Jazz out totally yet, but Kawhi is going to will his way and PG is getting hot.

I can't see Bucks beating either of them in 7. Nets need to get healthy, but probably can't come soon enough. 76ers look like Embiid is declining and its only going to get worse as the meniscus causes more issues, plus Danny Green (very underrated IMO) is out. Hawks could honestly beat the Sixers if Embiid keeps declining, plus Docs coaching in the two losses has cost the Sixers two games.

If Embiid is as limited as he was this last game it's over for the Sixers. You can't give young teams like the Hawks confidence. I thought the Sixers would just step on the gas and barrel right over the Hawks and send them back to Philly up 3-1 with a chance to close and the Sixers unfortunately fell apart. Now the Hawks think they can take them where I don't honestly think the Hawks thought it was possible after the last few games.
Current favorites to win the NBA Championship.

I agree with this, unless DMitch has one more miracle run in him I think he might be done.

IMO, of course.

1. Clippers
2. Bucks
3. Suns
4. Jazz
5. Sixers
6. Nets
7. Hawks

I just love that no matter what, we are going to have a championship team that hasnt ever won or hasnt won in a long time! Plus, lots of new generation stars in the mix.

Doc nails it:
"We stopped passing," Rivers said Monday. "I thought we started the game off that way, then we got back to the ball movement, then we went back to hero basketball. Basically, everybody wanted to be the hero instead of just trusting the team, trusting each other. So when you do that you usually lose, especially when the other team outworks you the whole f--king game, and that's what they did today."

If the 76ers are down to 3 healthy starters, they aren't going to go very far.

Playoff P will be back. Law of avgs or something. Would be nice for him to continue playing well and get that monkey off his back.

Harden upgraded to doubtful tonight... If Bucks go up 3-2 I think we see the Nets go into emergency mode

Agreed. I sincerely hope he keeps playing well enough to at least get us into the WCF. Anything after that is gravy for me.

Tough to say. He was getting doubled and tripled after Kyrie went down and the rest of the team has been playing pretty bad the past few games. Joe Harris, in particular, has to step it up. The Nets role players are decent when they are filling the role they are meant to play, but now with Harden and Kyrie not there, they look pretty awful trying to step up.

How big is Bruce Brown's game 3 blunder now? Nets could be up 3-1.

They might be forced to, but man... forcing a hamstring injury back too early? That's tough.

If there's ever an injury that you just can't push back to quickly, it's a hamstring.

yep - even if he's not 100% though, just his gravity on the court will open up more space for KD to operate.

Just run it back next year, long term health > championship aspirations this year.

They can win a couple when healthy, just need a bit of luck.

Agree with this, hamstring injuries are debilitating and tend to linger

They'll have to be strategic about how they use him.

One of the things that cost Philly last night is that Doc didn't recognize Embiid's limitations and kept going to him down the stretch. He shot 0-12 in the second half and still got the potential go ahead shot down 1. That should have been Tobias or Curry taking that shot.

With a bad hammy, Harden running out on a break might not be a good plan. Even him in the lane taking contact is a recipe for disaster. But how can they use him as a 1:1 3 point shooter and distributor?
