Ha, I hear ya. Those 2 cards are tough right now. Even if you want to spend 2-3K over last comps in cash.. things are moving so fast that it’s hard not to feel like you’re leaving money on the table as a seller. It’s a sellers market, you got to come with a HUGE premium, otherwise.. there’s no rush to sell. Obviously things could shift... but at this moment, waiting a couple weeks could mean thousands more! It’s the same gamble a buyer takes. FOMO is real on both sides.

Ive been offering 10-20% over recent comps...not even comps from a month ago and get auto declined. You’d think that would get me a counter but nope. Frustrating.

These are 2 of the 3 most popular postwar vintage cards of all time. They are both white hot right now. It is no surprise that people aren't wanting to discount them. Just look at the 86 F Jordan. Last week's over pay is this week's bargain. There are a couple of each in the Heritage Auction right now and sure to be several more in the other spring auctions like REA.

Those are my thoughts. I know I’m waiting on Heritage to end in a couple weeks before I start moving mine. Hoping for a nice “Jordan” bump. If it happens, great! If it doesn’t... not like they’re going down. At least those 2 cards.

Are you looking to sell on your own or consign? If you are consigning you should check with REA to see if you can get them in their spring auction.

I got a Jackie 6.5 and Mantle 7 a couple years ago. For what I paid I would be getting a Jackie 1 and Mantle 3. You are never losing on rookie cards of top 5 postwar players.

No one is asking for a discount. I’m trying to overpay and apparently my overpaying isn’t enough.

A 51 Bowman Mantle sold on ebay, on bids, for $20.3k two days ago. I offer people $20k and get auto declined. You’d think that would at least get a counter...

Guess I should have won that one....

That PSA 4 that sold for 22k was a good value last night considering a 1 sold for 11k.

I thought so. Older slab, but looked decent from the pics. I’ve got a recent graded, centered PSA 3 that I’m hanging onto till I can get 20K cash. If I can’t hit the mark, I’ll keep it.

If anything its a free bump, but man the market is insane right now. I picked up a PSA 4 1951 Mantle maybe 10 years ago or so for $2,500. A well centered example to boot. It’s crazy watching what these cards go for now. I’d never be able to afford one now.
