I'm hoping they do a lottery on the Topps site like they did for Sapphire baseball this year so us regular buyers have a chance over the bots, but I'm not optimistic.

This is not going to regular buyers imo. The baseball forum 582 thread is going crazy right now with excitement with everyone saying to buy it.

Expected price? How much does chrome baseball and chrome sapphire difference in price? From supplier, not at re-sale.

Sapphire baseball was $300 if you were able to get it direct from Topps.

This will be a COMPLETELY different story to baseball, and I have no idea how it will be priced. Understand that baseball is a 700 card set, so your chances of pulling anything even halfway decent from a 32 card box are SLIM. Soccer on the other hand is only a 100 card set, so 4 boxes should get you a complete set plus guaranteed parallels and autos.

Sapphire autos are not where the big value is, it is in the colour parallels. Look at 2018 Acuna Sapphire Auto vs colour. Insane price difference in favour of the colour.

A red Fati Sapphire would be a $25,000 card.

The autos in soccer chrome are generally spares....that’s not the attraction

I wasn't talking about resell value or card value. My response was in reference to you saying Baseball was $300 direct from Topps. Topps charges more for sets with Auto's.

Topps probably is able to generate more money with Sapphires than with the hobby and retail produced. So it will keep coming.

With no autos, they should crank the presses on this. 10k boxes would be a PR of about 3000 per base.
