I don't have time to read the entire article right now but if I remember correctly New York was only counting the nursing home deaths if they actually died there and not if they were transported somewhere else and passed. Again I could be wrong but I swear I remember reading it or hearing about it somewhere.

How Cuomo can sit there and call it lies and a conspiracy is not a surprise. Every time I see his smug face and hear his smug voice it reminds me of a Batman villain.

Yes, and there are Democrats who don't value differing opinions. It exists across the political spectrum and is a major issue in this country.

The question I asked was do you specifically care about the views of Americans with differing perspectives?

This is tough... I completely agree that value should absolutely be value placed on differing opinions. Quantifying how much value we place on differing opinions is the tough part. Additionally, when it comes to separate issues, we may place lesser or greater value on opposing views, along with the content and merits of the actual view.

What I'm saying is - for me, it's a constant shifting spectrum of how much value I place on differing opinions. On some topics, I may not feel strongly or freely admit I don't have all the information, or have a high level of understanding towards an opposite viewpoint. On other topics, I may feel very solid and place lesser value on an opposing opinion, because of my own personal experiences, beliefs, morals, etc.

I'm not sure that resolves anything; just providing some guidance on how my mind works on placing value on opposing viewpoints.

Dumb people have to work harder, but they can get there too... especially in a large, bureaucratic organization like the National Guard.

Moreover, there are different kinds of intelligence. Sheldon Cooper is a good example. His character is both a genius and an idiot at the same time. There are plenty of idiots with one or two skill sets.

ETA: I'm a decent example too. I'm not all that smart. I certainly outperformed my below-average intelligence.
