Yes, that is literally the definition. I am great with the teaching of Jesus, but you quoting law from over 3000 years ago, come on man. Also, do you follow all the laws from Leviticus or just the ones that let you be rude to people who are different from you?

I don't even care if Obama did anything to that effect or not. To me, if someone is a racist, they aren't going to change their ways because President XYZ was on TV denouncing racism.

That's what I always try to keep in mind when things get nasty in here. If we all met up we'd eat some good food, have some drinks, and talk about sports or other shared interests. I doubt politics would even come up.

Some people for sure, but not all. I think homosexuality is wrong but I don't judge people for it; I have enough of my own sins to worry about.

Reading thru the conversations today and wanting to clarify a definition with the group in hopes of finding some common ground. It seems many in this thread have very different interpretations of this and I’m curious to hear opinions:

What is the difference between not agreeing with or supporting X versus having a phobia or being a “phobic” towards it?

This isn’t meant to be a partisan question, because both sides are critical of various groups, organizations, beliefs, etc that could easily be labeled with a -phobic or -ism tag.
