Inspired by Black Boredom and Wheeler....quick n dirty lol

https://soundcloud.com/sam-cameron-1/blowout-bored

outta nowhere
to there in mommas world

billions of babies
born from billions of girls

billions of mommas
in billions of situations

billions of journeys
alone
we all take em

nurture vs nature
every second every day

does every minute that were livin
depend on how were made

every chance we've been given
every one we never take

every lesson we been taught

every color
every shade

what makes a man quick
what makes a woman strong

some come with it
just get it and carry on

some dont dont miss it never
know that its gone

every heartbeats a rhythm
every energy a song

every players part is needed
no need to fight facts
we didnt get here alone
had to have each others backs

took all who ever lived
just for us to live now

some did others didn't
have dads to show em how

Nature vs. Nurture has gotta be a heavy dose of both mixed with some mystical forces before, during and after.

Monday yet?

From one book to another...

Outliers was mentioned, and Project 2020 is a perfect representation of an outlier. It was born in the right place at EXACTLY the right time. It was born with all the potential, (known artists from inside and outside the hobby, 20 iconic cards of baseball legends). It has thus far been nurtured well.

Will it continue to strive to be the best? Is it willing to put in the effort? If so, the sky might not be high enough to contain the limit. Only time knows for sure.

Okay, that is awesome!

I’m going to read and play it for my kids today before school. Let’s see how it affects/inspires them.

Thanks for creating and posting it. Seriously.

Catching up on the last few pages feels like sitting through couples therapy with the two biggest pumpers of P2020.

It's been a while since I posted in this thread, but regarding nature/nurture and gladwell:

The 10,000 hour rule and other statements made by gladwell have been shown to be untrue. See https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart...eal-180952410/ for example.

There really is no evidence to support Blake's conclusions about nurture playing a much larger role. Wheeler's opinion is borne out to be true based on more than 50 years of research and frankly, just everyday experience and common sense. In any endeavor some people are clearly more naturally talented than others. That's not to say that people who grind it out can't achieve similar or better results, but with equal amounts of effort and time spent practicing some people are just going to perform better. That's not a value judgment at all, and ascribing value to people based on what they do is repugnant. It does however seem self-evident.

Haven't checked/looked (or had the time) at cards 1-70'ish lately.....uptick, stable, lower, etc? Anyone still monitoring? I know a couple peeps on here were keeping a spreadsheet at one time...

Yes.

Lol but for real.... it’s up, its stable, and it’s down. 1-70 is a broad range that has like 4 different eras within it. The closer you get to the front of that list the more stable/upticky it becomes.

This site may not make collectors/flippers/hoarders happy, but it has some data showing those cards lower, not sure where the data is coming from but seems to be updated regularly to me:

https://www.prjct2020.com/all-cards-old-to-new

I listed my only duplicates at auction and got roughly these prices with a few bidders.

Thanks....I agree that is does look pretty accurate after checking a few current eBay sales and comparing them to the list.

I wouldn't say that at all....most of the first 60 are over the MSRP ($19.99)...with the exception of Jeter Grotesk. After that, not so much, but still have a long ways to go until card #400.....

They're definitely not getting the data from StockX.

How are stockx sales going? Asking seriously, I'm not on there.

Are you saying these don't match ask prices or bid prices?

Not trying to be smarta...... I really don't know.

This is accurate for the cards that I'm following, but we demand a time series!

Most of the cards that I've bought or I'm tracking to buy have been stable in the last two months, but that's probably more an indication of my taste, which is really exceptional.
