Update: I backed off the offer of $22,500 for the set of 1-80 to the local trader today and countered at $29,500 and he agreed. Cash. Will be getting in touch with my financial consultant Tuesday to discuss retirement possibilities. It is definitely in the cards now with 3 sets sold and 2 more stashed away. Plus one baller Ichiro from the MoneyBear trade that keeps going up in value daily.

You’re right. I’m choosing my integrity over 10s, maybe 100s ks worth of cards coming in. And it will stay that way if there $1,000,000 worth of cards coming in. What’s your point here? It sounds like you’re salty because you don’t have the bank roll to purchase multiple 10 packs each day....... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Most people that don't live in a rich area or need health insurance from an underlying medical condition 35 or older could retire with $500k-$1 million. Especially with stocks and card investments. If you have the money you should be making more money.

What’s the shipping lag for these right now? Is Topps typically 1, 2, 3 weeks behind?

Also all these presellers could be using the funds they got to buy up the rarer cards and flip those later.

The factor you aren't applying is Topps shipping. I just got my Baller Trout tracking a few days ago. I dont think anything that still pending is retirement money good. If you're an eBay seller and dont honor your pre-sells,sales will drop immensely once that first negative hits.

I respect your opinion but even a single person 35 and over could spend all their annual interest from their $500K windfall on just medical insurance. People sometimes lose money in the stock market and sure wouldn't want to retire personally counting on selling cards but thats me.
