I know right. Was lucky to get the 3 I got. Was following and decided to jump in on the ripken, robinson and koufax cause I liked the player and the art never thinking they would double or be up 5x. Think how much closer you would be to the 52 Mantle.

That's exactly what I would've done with it, lol.

I know it’s small potatoes compared to the high rollers but Don C’s Thomas has gone from $35 to $60 in the last few hours! Stock up now before they’re $200 next week!

I've strongly considered doing this, but do you think buying via pre-sell on ebay is reliable?

If you buy from good reliable pre-sellers who have a history of honoring sales, yes.

Ill check out /r/baseballcards daily and was suprised theres no posts about Project 2020 at all. Especially with all the prices going crazy. With that sub nearly 18K followers I had to start a thread to help educate the masses

The only issue is delay. Unless I'm wrong a 10 pack directly from topps is about the same price (if not cheaper that even the lowest ebay seller). why take risk and the delay for the cards to turn over hands?

For new releases, totally agree. But he was answering my question regarding a card that is no longer a new release, so you can't buy from Topps anymore.

So is it general common sense to say that these are very popular now and the PRs will continue to rise and the value will be lower or am I completely missing something here??

Set #3 is in talks and I have a local trader/investor interested at $22.5k. This might be sold by the end of the day. This is for cards 1-80. I will update if deal is completed

Another Money Bear just sold for $600. Thinking back to how quickly these sold out, I wonder if Gary V loaded up on them. Maybe the big reveal coming from him this week is about the Bear? You never know Gary V him except expect to be surprised

It seems like values for anything new going forward have to be lower. In a few cards there may not be another print run under 10k. For sure will never see another under 5k. So many people now are going to be buying more and more of the new cards assuming every card has to go way up. There are too many cards still coming out, 300+, and print runs going to be so high for many of the new cards to hold big value. I wouldn't be surprised if after card 100 that none of the cards 101-400 ever hit $100. The value will be in all the early cards with print runs under 3k. Those will always be hard to find and in demand. The ones with 10k+ print runs you will always be able to find one.

With the resurgence of card collecting couple with combining the art scene, sneaker scene, jewelry scene, investors, and general populace anything under a 50k print run will at the very least double your money.

Both! Its like working more than a part time job. I don’t have time to follow other threads I like or pay attention to other products’ pricing on eBay.
