[QUOTE=Joan p;15673406]That internet tough guy thing doesn’t really work

Shouldn't DeBlasio be blamed for not being prepared? He's been mayor for how long? He's now saying his city is desperate and lost control. Why didnt he have plans in place? Why weren't the governors prepared for this the past ten years?

Maybe he should use the Dotard as a role model and blame the previous mayor

Can we get a chart to show the correlation of people freaking out to people that also happen to hate Trump?

It's like hot potato.
Blame the current person in charge

For those upset with lack of masks and protective gear, should the country tax a certain % annually from here on out to ensure we have 30M extra masks and ventilators sitting in a warehouse in Boise for the next pandemic?

Why didn't other presidents or mayors or governors do this?

Trump is idiot but to blame him for everything is ridiculous

My prediction and just my own personal opinion. I also think it would be a wise decision.

The govt. will stockpile several billion N95 respirator masks and have them dispersed to each state in order to have them on hand in case of an emergency situation. Everyone will be required to wear them out in public until the situation is under control. If we had done this before this happened it wouldn't have gotten this bad and we would't be where we are right now.

I don't think they are blaming him for "everything" as I don't know if things like the stockpile of supplies they have is the right amount or not enough.

But absolutely blaming him for things like firing the pandemic response team, saying things like "people with the virus are going to work and getting better" and not allowing the use of the WHO tests early in the process to try and help minimize the early spread as much as possible.

Those are things that are directly on him, not a past administration, not someone else, but him alone and all 3 of them if not done would have made a world of difference right now.

Their response was much later than it should have been. No we shouldn’t stockpile masks and ventilators but we should have a plan to ramp up quickly. There wasn’t a plan or at least not a good one.

Trump and his administration deserves the blame and he’ll get the credit if he gets it back on track.

You must have missed the WHO last night who admitted that the WHO never offered to USA

He then went on to say it's not WHO responsibility to squash rumors

All you guys talking about the lack of ventilators had NO CLUE that you could just go purchase a second set of lungs for roughly $100....

Problem with your plan is , stock gets old. They are having problems now with old masks falling apart. Rotating them is harder to do than just ramping up production. No simple answer but to be on top of things.

I disagree with not stockpiling masks.

1. They're cheap. About $2 each.

2. It's the best alternative to contain an airborne virus until we come up with a vaccine or a better alternative.

3. The country wouldn't be in lockdown and people could go about their daily lives for the most part as long as they wear N95 face masks.

4. We need to have them stockpiled in order to get them out quickly enough.
They simply can't make them fast enough to meet the demand.

I’m not sure this falls on trump.

The world is suffering right now because of the lack of communication by the Chinese government.

The Chinese said that they had NO NEW INFECTIONS yesterday.
I don’t trust a word coming from their government - the conditions in documentaries is incredible (very poor).

Trump isn’t the person I’m blaming when it’s all said and done. Could he have done more? #@#@#@#@; look at other countries and we aren’t alone in being affected

Just a thought

The govt has been telling citizens for a month about social distancing and proper hygienic precautions, yet we see spring breakers, St Patty drinkers, and park goers ignoring.

So how would telling them this 2 weeks earlier made a difference?

Also there's no pill to avoid getting it. So most people eventually would have gotten it even if warned couple weeks earlier

He actually did stockpile them, but unfortunately he and Crooked Hillary split the masks 50/50 and sold off. Hillary sold her half to Russia in the Uranium 1 sale, Obama included his half on the pallets of cash to Iran.

Let's just say that is true, that shouldn't exempt Trump from not fixing that over the past 3 years, so sitting here and blaming Obama and absolving Trump of the problem isn't the right thing to do either.

In the end, Trump has had 3 years to fix problems he felt the Obama administration left him, blaming him for something like this, this far into their own administration is just pathetic.

The WHO offering them or not isn't the problem, it was a company in Germany that was selling them to the WHO, so why weren't we buying them from the company?

We shouldn't be dependent on the WHO offering them up, we should have been proactively asking for them from either the WHO or that German company, but Trump was too stubborn and wanted American developed, made, and sold tests only. This was not a time to play the "keep jobs and money in America" card, this was the time to help save lives and minimize the impact here.
