Had I seen this video prior, I would have put a ripped in half common Prizm in the box along with what they bought

They will always been clowns. Successful because of followers who don't know any better.

Did anyone else actually finish watching the vid? He explains himself in a professional manner at the end. Rebecca is one of their VIP customers. He paid 3x times what the card was worth (in her words). At the end he explains he actually felt bad for damaging it and apologized and that is why they paid so much for the card.

Not defending their actions, etc. Don't need the drama. I want to know who this Rebecca is, as she's sold some huge $20,000+ cards though in the last 2 mo's. Her, "Hoss" and "Facebook breaker" are their three biggest customers, huge $$.

What video? There’s a 26 sec instagram clip of him destroying the card and talking smack, and then a single post with his hilariously sad fabricated excuse.

Well out of respect for Blowout I won't post the vid, but it's on youtube. At the end he apologizes etc. Of course the instagram hater only cuts 26 sec vid of it tho lol.

Btw, he was right about one thing. All the new kids in the fb groups these days thinking their breakers by buying Target retail and opening packs on FB, that was the funniest comment of the night IMO.

He acted like a petulant child and made threats of violence. I didn't have an opinion of Platinum one way or another prior to this - now i do.

So I’m no breaker, but I’ve heard almost everyone ever say to put Prizm cards in a sleeve and toploader and not a mag. Next, how much “damage” was actually don’t by it being a little off in the one-touch without being seated? Didn’t look creased in the Insta pic that is posted of it. Huge overreaction and a waste for them to do what they did.

Think of how much better this whole situation could have been handled. And there was some down time between when it happened and how he chose to handle it to give him a few days to step back and think about how to approach the situation.

He bought the card for over market value. I think that was the correct thing to do. Next all he had to do was own up to the mistake and say “we recently placed a card in a one touch off center which could have damaged the card. We deal with a lot of product and we are only human and mistakes happen. To fix this situation we have purchased the card and we will be gifting the card to (insert any markkanen collector here). Hope he enjoys the 1/1, Merry Christmas and Happy New year!”

He could have even placed it on eBay with a description of what happened if he wanted to recoup some of the money, but clearly that wasn’t an issue.

I just think making a mistake is one thing. We are all human we all have made them, but doubling down on the mistake is a really bad look. All in all though I don’t think he really effects his business and this will all blow over in a few days.

No he's a disrespectful, oversensitive loser.

That's it. You put yourself out there with a big personality on camera all the time and get offended when someone posts a one minute video making fun of you. He is so insecure that his reaction to that is to destroy a 1/1 card to make a point about how much money he has and how little value that card has to him.

As was stated, he doesn't care about the hobby, he cares about getting your money and showing how amazing he is.

Your last statement kind of sounds like Panini, has redemptions on their wonderful weekly report, but 1-2 months later still in shipped to customers as they’re “waiting” till the name recirculates in their que to ship out! They could give a #@#@#@#@ less about their “customers” and it’s hilarious that anyone in this thread wanting Panini to so something about this is hysterical!

there was not one single sliver of professionalism in how he handled this. it doesnt matter what he paid, it doesnt matter that its "his". total lack of respect for the hobby and destroying something that would hold significant value just because youre teased for the persona you chose to put out there is just terrible. these people will never knowingly get my money

What you said is the best thing out of all this situation. I could never have put together a better response.
