That’s great news. Really happy for him (and hopefully this helps increase his exposure even more).

I bought 25 of them last week for an average of $23 each.

I have 4 booths at the National and I will have a case or two of just flagship and Heritage PSA/BGS Rc's with spread prices listed (buying for $x Selling for $y) so if anyone wants to move cards, please come see me.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.

Let's say Acuna averages this season's numbers the next few seasons and he is 25 years old.

Where are his prices compared to now?

Question is, does he have any MVP top 3 finishes in there?

If say he has 2 top 3 finishes, double or triple

If he wins a MVP, triple to quadruple.

Easily.

Yelich, Bellinger, Baez and the Rockies' club look to be the biggest hurdles to overcome for MVP's in the NL--not just now but for the forseeable future. Best players on playoff-caliber teams usually get the nod. Acuna will be in that mix too.

Also...as much as people would like to think that the importance of the batting average stat is going away, you almost have to hit over .300 to be in the MVP mix--especially in the NL now with Yelich and Bellinger among the leaders in the power number cats AND cruising along at .330+

I think Acuna is positioned well for an MVP race for years to come if he can stay at the top of the order in ATL. The power numbers will be there and he'll score a ton of runs. He certainly seems competitive enough, but I don't think we'll see his MVP award for a couple years at least until his sense of the strike zone develops and he can turn some of those K's into BB's. That or he will have to have to go off in outliner fashion and win one by hitting 50+ bombs or scoring 140 runs, or a 40/40 season...something ridiculous--but non-batting average related--all in a "2018 Brewers-like" playoff birth for Atlanta.

Let’s not forgot Acuna has quite the MVP hurdle on his own team.

This. Anyone who goes to Suntrust Park or watches a lot of Braves games knows that Freddie is still the man on that team. And he will be until Acuna takes another step or two forward. Freddie is a legitimate Top 3-4 MVP candidate right now, Acuna will get there in a couple of years.

Where would Acuna currently rank in this season's Mvp race?

Yelich
Bellinger
Freeman
Acuna? Bell? Arenado?

That's just off the top of my head... he's closer to the top than most people think. A big second half and he's in the discussion.

The NL is stacked this year. I think he would definitely be top 5 in the AL this year so far and maybe top 3. As of right now I'd say MVP voting would go this way:

Bellinger
Yelich
Freeman
Bell/Arenado
Acuna/Marte/Baez

Acuna actually leads all of the above in WAR except Bellinger, Yelich and Marte (who's #4 in MLB at the moment) and he's tied with Arenado currently but that's still a secondary voting consideration I think.

He has an outside chance to become the 3rd Brave to have a 40/20 100 rbi 100 run season at the moment joining Aaron (who did it twice) and Chipper. If he's able to pull that off I could definitely see a top 5 finish but I'd bet on closer to 35 HR than 40. He'd still end up behind Bellinger, Yelich, and likely Freddie in voting unless 1 of them falls off post AS break.

I would say 1/2 are a lock to be Yelich/Bellinger in some fashion
After that, there's a lot of candidates
Bell, Rendon, Freeman, Arenado would be in the next batch IMO. I think Acuna is in the mix after these guys.

Yelich and Bellinger are definitely locked in the 1/2 spots and unless both hit an extended slump I think they have a big enough lead that they will stay top 2.

Forgot about Rendon. He'd definitely be in the mix with Bell, Freeman, and Arenado. I also think Marte would probably be ahead of Acuna right now and possibly in the "next batch". Still only half way through the season though so anything could happen. This could be an entirely different conversation in a couple of months! Looking forward to watching it unfold.

The fact he's in the mix is the only important thing...

He's on pace for a (round about #s) .290 35-40 HR 110-120 R 100 RBI 20+ SBs. I'd be very happy with that.
