Default Eloy Jimenez

Just thought we should give this kid the kind of “respectfully titled” thread he deserves. The day he hits a 471 ft. BOMB seems like as good of a day as any to put the other thread to bed. Moving forward with positivity here!!! Welcome aboard!

Well done! Let that other one die an ignoble death.
Same thing happened with the Trout thread last year. Some dipstick trolled the life out of it and new one (existing one) had to be started.
Proud to be on first page of that one and this. Go Eloy!

Basically so far what we have learned is that Eloy can hit 25 homers in his sleep (which we kind of already knew). Watch out when he puts it all together.

Banuelos’ 7.11 ERA prior to the HR. Seems like yesterday chasing him in 2011 Bowman Chrome.

That was the farthest home run I have ever seen hit to center field at Sox Park. Amazing.

I saw 462 and 471 depending on the source. Just being at the park and standing where he hit it it seems impossible to reach.

Yes. It was hit over the batters eye in center field. I’ve been watching Sox games since 1990 and I’ve never seen anything close to that. To the casual fan it’s a monster blast, but to a Sox fan that was “remember the day when...” significant.

I heard 462 feet. But I'm guessing it was closer to 500. It was an absolute bomb. I've never seen anyone a home run hit the stairs in center field like that.

I was at the black out game, and I was at last nights game. Eloys home run was the biggest Ive ever seen. No way that 462 is true. Cleared the batters eye. It was a thing of absolute beauty.

100% agree, I was there last night. 462 is a shame.

True. That was a bomb! I guess I don’t remember it as much because it never shows it landing. The camera sort of lost it and left to show him running the bases instead! Ball was KILT.

Thome's was majestic, but Eloy's last night was literally unbelievable. It didn't even seem like he swung that hard. Guy has ridiculous power.
