Default Angels to offer Mike Trout a Lifetime Contract...?

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...mming-national

While I'd love to see him come east, it would be quite the thing to see him play his entire career in Anaheim.

I think if given a chance, he would move east. My bet would be on the Phillies.

If he ever wants to win, he’ll sign elsewhere

I think the Phillies are on the verge of a winning era once again.

I was wondering the same,

12 yrs 500 million was the first thing that popped into my head. Could be way off though

I am for this. Scoscias gonna be gone soon. Maybe they bring a new manager and get that team back to the WS.

If you reply with...."last one on eBay sold for this"...then you should have bought it on eBay.

He will never win there. They have too many holes and no pitching.

I don't care one way or the other about the Angels, but I do like Franchise players. So I would love to see him stay there. Maybe I just hate change. haha.

I see both sides as a baseball fan. Love it when players stay loyal to their team forever. On the other hand, would love to see him in Atlanta as well. Or in a big market like Boston. Just please not the Phillies. I would never be able to root for him again. Worst fans ever.

Didn't Trout try to get a lifetime contract when he last signed? If they offer it, I bet he will take it.

The talk was either one or the other all year. Both would be nifty. But I’d rather have just Trout than just Harper + Machado.

Why would anyone sign him to a contract more than 7-8 years?

15 yr, $700M... the last 3 being mutual option years... contract somewhat front loaded (ie. big annual payouts coming 2022 and later, when AP5 off the books), with those option years probably being in the $25M range annually
