Default Brian Burke Models HOF QB's and RB's

Here's a link to the story:
Which current NFL quarterbacks and running backs are Hall of Famers? Who doesn't belong?

The obvious biggest miss is Drew Bledsoe. Sure-fire HOFer...

Yes ... unless your favorite QB and PC player is Ryan Nassib. In that case it still IS

There's a huge fallacy in this that people keep falling into. You must stop comparing current players stats with those of players already in the HOF, to an extent. Of course offensive players today are going to put up numbers comparable to HOF players of the past. Every single rule change for the last 20 years was instituted to help the offense.
You have to start looking at players in context to their counterparts.

Mean what I say, and say what I mean. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow: Drew Bledsoe >>> Russ Wilson

Drew Bledsoe >>> Eli Manning

Burkes article explains that he adjusted all stats for era. It essentially looks for a players dominance for the era compared to their contemporaries. Marinos 5084 in 1984 would be weighted significantly differently than Matt Stafford throwing for 5084 this season.
