Default eBay unpaid report.

Last Sunday on July 17 I bid Robinson Cano Patch w Auto on my phone while road trip back to home from Mariners game, and I realized that I bid on the wrong item for first time and has over 1k feedback then I inbox to seller right after I bid and explain it was mistake and please remove or cancel it then seller ignore me, so after auction end and I won it so I had to request cancel it but seller refused and closed the cancel request, said the item already send but not. Now this morning seller report unpaid on me, what should I do? Is there other way to solve it or I have to pay for it then return it?

EBay will have a record of your messages and his no response. Open up a dispute claim and EBay will ask you to contact thew seller. If he doesn't respond you have a good chance of winning.

Why didn't you retract your bid instead of asking the seller to cancel your bid?

This has happened to me several times with buyers. I've been told twice by eBay representatives that if the buyer that won an item requests to cancel the best way to do it is via the unpaid item route. And honestly I agree with it. I don't necessarily mind someone winning an item that no one else bid on and then requesting to cancel. But if you outbid other potential paying customers and then claim it was a mistake and put in a request to cancel the order then it leaves the seller in a very tough position.

If it were me that made the mistake in bidding on the wrong item and I couldn't retract the bid I would just pay for it and then resell it once I received it hoping for the best. But that's just me.

Agreed. You won and that is supposed to be a "contract" Not the sellers fault you did it on accident.

A 'contract' is all well and good, but considering a buyer can turn around and send the card back as item not described, just easier to cancel and move on.

The seller claimed that they sent it even though you didn't pay?

I'm the seller. Ebay user Jordan23james bid on my item within hours of the auction ending and attempted to cancel the order after the item ended. The buyer stated in ebay messages that he will be paying for the item just so he can return the item. See messages below.

He just paid today 7/23.

Ok so Jordan23james says he messaged you before the item ended, and now you are saying he requested to cancel it after the item ended.

Not that it matters too much, but one of you has that incorrect and is probably just lying to make their story look better.

But, why make another thread about this chicuse after this thread is already open? Does this not suffice?

One of you please clear up and show when the request to cancel was made so we can see who the misguided person in this scenario is.

If there was an accident, or mistake, the contract is then cancelable by the buyer. No meeting of the minds.
