Me too, it's just so relaxing and oddly enough, I've felt more positive lately.

Same here . I get more enjoyment out of smoking cigars than I do out of cards. Moreso lately as I have become bored by what card companies have put out.

My interest has gone down mainly because the lack of traffic on Beckett. I could open a box and have multiple trades within days, here not so much. Spending several hundred a month on stuff taking up closet space was getting old.

I loved Beckett when I first got back into collecting. I enjoyed the people but the website left a ton to be desired. First and foremost that it needed was more people. It was pretty desolate by the time I showed up (I think it was in 2012 or 2013 that I got back into collecting).

Today's smoke deserved its own post.

I had a Romeo Y Julieta 1875. My goodness it was exquisite. The wrapper was perfect from head to toe. The flavor was fantastic and changed a bit at the end to be a bit more medium than mild. I paid $4 for this stick as part of a sampler (it may have been the sampler that came with Humidor that you had suggested but I am not certain).

I would recommend one of these if you want just a good, solid smoke.

the box of 1875's i got a few months ago is getting low (i split half of it with my buddy). i dont know if im going to get another one of those or try something different. sometimes i think these are to mild until the last third but they are well made and always have a nice even burn.

I am more of a sampler kind of guy but I would actually consider buying a box of these.

BTW, I got my order in that I placed on Sunday. My humidors are 66 (big humi) and 69 (little humi). I am in a decent spot but it has been unseasonably warm here the last few days. I switched to using the Boveda 72s and I am hoping that is the culprit (I can replicate buying more Boveda packs...I cannot replicate 60+ degree weather in the dead of winter).

I had a Gurkha centurion yesterday. I had it as part of an older sampler. I enjoyed it on the way to the card show. It smoked for an hour+

3 buffalo traces and a Romeo y julieta 1875 after work, life is awesome. My Romeos are Churchills and I've got almost an hour and a half out of it, nice.

Those 1875's are great smokes. Fantastically smooth.

I'm pissed. I thought those were incredibly good and $2.50 each for Gurkha beauty is a great deal.

I'm not really pissed. Just mad at myself.

They make some smokes that are good for beginners and some that are not. Most sites have a mild-to-full range. If you are just starting, I would start with a mild or mild/medium.

I am not entirely sure but I am on my patio right now enjoying one. I couldn't justify paying $30 for one but I could justify paying under $5 for one.

Prepare yourself for my card collecting joke.

Maybe they go by beckett book value.

Did it burn poorly?

I had the Gurkha from some previous orders. I still don't have room to accommodate 20 sticks.

That definitely sucks. Wasting a good smoke is a bummer.

I love a good smoke. I had a Hoyo Excalibur Epicure today. I would recommend this to any smoker who enjoys a medium flavor.
