Default 1st michael jordan autograph card

Guys, What is the first MJ autograph card ever made inserted in basketball packs/box product?

Is it 1996 spx?

I think so. The 1995 SP minor league baseball predates it though

If you mean only live cards, the 1997-98 UD Game Jersey autograph card is the first.
Anything before it are all redemption.

The 1995 SP minor league baseball card is Jordan's 1st autographed card, but its baseball

Jordan's first autographed Bulls basketball card is his 1996 SPx NNO

The 1996 SPx NNO is one of his greatest cards of all time IMO

Its one of my top 5 MJ cards all time easy

let's not forget the 94/95 collector's choice 5x7 box topper autograph of Jordan in a baseball uniform, but the cards were in basketball product.

It's actually one of the small handful of MJ autos I would like to own some day, I don't have one now, but here is a picture:

KEEP IN MIND, the autographed ones have a DIAMOND shaped hologram on the back, instead of a circle shaped hologram. If you see an autographed card without the diamond shaped hologram on the back, be very careful. I can post examples if you need me to as I have the Kemp auto / base versions.

How hard are those 2 MJ baseball autos to find? How much do they normally go for?

Isn't it supposed to be your USA auto?

First pack pulled in bulls uniform then probably be the 1996 SPx.

Hi, no problem, see below:

Card back, you will see that the backs are the same, except for the hologram shape.

Card fronts

Close up detail of back hologram shapes:

If you find one of these 5x7 box topper jumbo autographs make sure to always check the back for the hologram. If a card is autographed, but does not have the correct hologram shape then it is possible that it was signed in person (unlikely) or that it is a fake autograph, (very likely).

In Jordan's case it's possible there are Flight School autographs, but also very unlikely and I would not take the risk considering whatever the cost of the MJ auto could be. ALWAYS look for the hologram, I hope this helps, let me know if I can assist you further. NONE of these cards are serial numbered, or hand numbered.

Sorry for the bad pictures.

The Jordan Baseball is garbage IMO, first its not him in his NBA uniform and second they are Jumbos.

The first Pack inserted LIVE NBA uniform Jordan auto was in 1997-98 Upper Deck Basketball, 1997-98 UD game jersey #GJ13S

Not many true Jordan collectors would consider that his first.

Similar to his True Rookie, really depends on personal preference.

But if you wanted his first auto then yes that baseball card would be it.

To me the 1996 SPx will always be his first autographed card as its his first autographed card in an NBA Uniform

The 97-98 UD Jersey Auto is his first Autographed Jersey Card

The 96 SPx was available via redemption card but those redemption cards were found in packs

As a MJ collector the whole live thing really doesn't mean much to me, just as pack pulled shouldn't disqualify the 101 from being Jordan's true rookie card IMO

Its very much the same concept to me

You can throw your opinions on what's what all day, whether he's in a NBA uniform, or baseball uniform, fact is this is the first, unless there is another card preceding it, that was inserted in packs / boxes as per the OP's question. The product this card happened to come out of was 94/95 Collector's Choice BASKETBALL.
