Default Anyone using myslabs.com?

Anyone using this site? I heard about this site on here and decided to give it a try. Their site is pretty clunky but decided to give it a shot to avoid eBay fees. Last night I uploaded photos to sell three cards (each card over $6K in price) on there. I uploaded perfectly cropped photos that showed the entire front and back of the PSA slabs, no excess. When the photos showed up on their site they were cropped where a lot of the PSA holder was missing.

I try and log back in 15 minutes later and I get a message that my account has been suspended. I email the company and ask why. Here is the exchange:

MySlabs: Bad images. We need all edges/corners of your slabs visible in your listings with as much background noise cropped out as possible.

Me: These were perfectly cropped just like I post on eBay. When I uploaded the photos your site cropped the photos down and chopped off the edges. Any ideas? Also, how can I possibly correct the images when you immediately suspend my account? Not a great start for my first attempt to sell on your site.

MySlabs: You cannot leave slabs in the For Sale feed if they don't meet the guidelines. That is not on us, that is on you. Every slab must look right on the feed. Blaming it on our site isn't going to fly.

Me: Okay, you’re clearly great at customer service. I’ve been on eBay since 1997 and this is my first attempt to sell on your site. Instead of trying to assist and help me get it right you respond like this. So, do you want to help me or not? I uploaded perfect photos and your site cropped them. Can you help or just going to be a high and mighty jerk?

MySlabs: The site is not for everyone and it's clear that it is not a good fit for you. Good luck

Anyway, I know...dear diary. Just wanted to warn you guys. With crappy service like this they have no shot.

I don't personally use the site, but I did "apply" and have just been too lazy to go through all the steps to finally get stuff listed.

I like the idea of it, but there has to be the understanding that they're taking such a small percentage of sales, the goal is to have the site run itself. The more you ask them to update/change/step-in, the higher their fees will need to go.

Yeah, you didn't handle that situation very well. If you had responded differently there would have been a totally different outcome. Based on the way you responded, I would not have wanted you on my site either.

Yeah, now they just emailed me saying they would contact my business partner to tell him that I am harassing another business and that the customers of my business should be made aware of my harassment. Who does this that is trying to run a legitimate business? He thought my business partner was my boss so he threatened to "tell my boss" on me.

Not sure why that's relevant when his comment is spot on. You were the one who changed the tone of the conversation

As much as I don't think you handled yourself well, if this is true that is a bit concerning.

I love myslabs and use it all the time. this interchange is surprising, if it's true.

I'd like to see actual screenshots of your message exchanges. I could be wrong but I'd guess your tone (which even sounds troublesome in your post) was actually worse in the messages.

You don't have the vibe of someone I'd like to deal with.

Good luck.

I should add that I had an issue with them where I had made a mistake and they were very understanding and helped resolve without issue.

I'm with OP. the myslab dude is a douche. Should have just said "interesting, I'll look into this and get back to you. Look forward to your future business"

I probably could have handled it better, but I was just surprised by their response and how unwilling they were to help and accept that something could have gone wrong on their end. They immediately said, "it's on you and blaming us is not going to fly." In the beginning I was asking for "any ideas" and how to correct the issue when they suspended my account with no warning or explanation. I believe that is bad business.

I've had nothing but fantastic experiences both with the site and the people running it.

I'm not one to subscribe to the adage, "the customer is always right" so good for them. If you choose to come at people in that manner, don't complain about it on a website forum as if you're the victim.

This is a strange response based on what I'm reading. He is the customer. The response from the company is completely unprofessional. Customer service seems to be a thing of the past.

there are others on there, but you get the idea. i just posted two of the first ones i saw.

once again, this site proves to be inconsistent with their policies.

slightly over 2 hours after owner of the site citing their ZERO return policy, the OP of this thread got his refund.

OPs first response to myslabs:

Also, how can I possibly correct the images when you immediately suspend my account? Not a great start for my first attempt to sell on your site.

He could've handled it different if he wanted a different outcome.

They both could have, but it doesn't seem like myslabs #1 goal is customer acquisition either.

I think in general customer service is going away. You can do what you want now in America with no repercussions pending what side you are on. America is shifting, and not for the good of the people.

I've sold a few things on there and actually bought a few things on there this morning. I've had no issues with it and love not doing business with Ebay as much as possible. Site could be a bit more user friendly but overall experience has been good so far.

Wow! Customer service is key. I think the response he gave is ok. Myslabs I have no knowledge of them but if they responded like that to me I would move on. I know other platforms are available but eBay is king for a reason. Good luck bro. From our interactions I know you are a good dude. Move on bro. They are the business that is trying to build their customer base.
