Apparently, he put out a video claiming to have invested $500K on Derek Carr. He now owns the NT NFL Patch RPA #1/1.

I wonder what $500k being spent on Mahomes in 2017-2018 would look like today. I remember buying a 2017 Prizm PSA 10 for $30 DLVD. If you (hypothetically) spent $500k on Mahomes Prizm PSA 10’s for $30 each they’d be worth $41+ million today assuming each one is worth $2500 (what the most recent auction sold for). Of course there aren’t enough PSA 10’s that $500k could buy in early 2018... But still. Poor choice of a QB to pick lol

He recommended Derek Carr back in 2018. Skip to 11:40 in the video below where he talks about Derek Carr. Wonder how that Carr investment from 2018 is doing. He did well with his bet on Trout.

Why not Derek Carr? His PSA 10 Chrome Base was only $15 two months ago, it's up to $70 per at the moment. He posted career highs in yards and completion percentage and was top 10 in QBR, Rating, and Yds/Pass.
Outside of Waller, his top two pure receivers last year were Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow at 651 yards and 605 yards. This season he gets a healthy Jacobs and Tyrell back and they added Ruggs, Edwards, and Bowden. He was a sneaky buy this off-season considering you could get 2-4 Carr PSA 10's for the price one overrated Jimmy G.

Vegas Dave bought into a bunch of Carr right after the 2016 season. At that time Carr was the most hyped young quarterback at the time and Vegas Dave made headlines by scooping up some of Carr's more expensive Contender cards, I believe a SB Ticket or two. Probably continued collecting after the hype around moving to Vegas.

I’ve invested a good amount (no where near Vegas Davis obviously) in Derek Carr but let me tell you, I want to know what he’s smoking. I realistically look at it as I bought a few raw chromes autos for 75 and contenders between 100-200 and I expect after this season for them to both double. If he just makes the playoffs I think the cards will do that. Vegas is just talking out of his ***. Derek Carr is not a SB QB but I think he can get into the playoffs and make a decent run. People need to realize you don’t need to win a SB to make money. There’s a reason Derek Carr prices are in that awkward stage. Really people not picking him up are saying he’s not making the playoffs. No one buying thinks he going to the SB

This all started 2 years ago or more with Carr.
Honestly, Carr isn't a terrible QB, but I think he could be a lot more like Phillip Rivers. You can make some money, but not as much if you spent the money elsewhere.

Well...the 2009 Trout Superfractor is likely a $2M card right now. He probably has what...half a million in invested in Carr.
He still is way ahead. Win some, lose some. |
