discostu:

You seem like a nice guy, some insightful posts over the years for sure.

but just this once, it's time to say: "I apologize for my ridiculous comment"

or, you can keep defending your position.

Most of this is debatable, but regardless, I do agree that the comment "As for Mancini, we fawn over his story where he courageously battles a cancer that had microscopic odds to defeat him," is harsh and a poor choice of words.

You'll do anything to keep that ego intact. Just let go, man.

I think the point argued here is that we ignore the millions of people fighting cancer, the millions of families who lost loved ones to cancer and the millions of people who have survived cancer. Is it wrong to celebrate one man who follows a well worn path? Is it wrong to celebrate a survivor who follows the same path as someone not so lucky? The comeback isn’t surviving cancer, the comeback is playing professional baseball again and I believe celebrating one story is celebrating all cancer stories.

Overrated.

He only has 7 SB rings. That's only 6 more than Patty Mahomes

Talk to me when he has one on each finger.

So he only has one to go, since thumbs are technically not fingers! LOL

Joe Montana is actually 4-11 overall.
He played 15 years, thus the 11 years he didn't win a SB, he either lost in the playoffs or didn't make the playoffs.
Everyone would agree you are better if you lose a SB than not making the playoffs.

You should set-up a meet and greet with your fellow Californians.

Shouldn't we celebrate a true American like Tamyra Mensah-Stock?
