So should rona cases be spiking any day now? Protests have been going on for over a week now without following proper social distancing and mask protocols. Are the cops that killed Floyd going to be tested? And if they're positive shouldn't they be released from prison to help prevent the spread inside?

Way too early to predict anything. The polls taken since the protests started though show Biden's lead increasing though.

I wonder how many on here realize that active duty military, not national guard was used to quell riots in the past. Do we remember the Rodney King riots? The active duty military was used then as well as during the MLK riots. So those saying this is something that only Trump has tried to do or threatened to do, really have no clue as to the history of our country. Coming from a veteran of the military, I have no problem with using active duty military to get the job done. The good citizens of our country need to be protected from enemies both foreign and domestic. Riotes and looters destroying businesses, homes, stealing, killing animals, and hurting innocent people are certainly enemies of good, law abiding citizens. If you are doing any of those things, you aren't a protestor, you're a criminal. Just one vets opinion.

Other ways to protest? What other ways do you recommend? It seemed like a very appropriate way to protest. It was peaceful and brought attention to the issues at hand.

I really don’t think they are being too sensitive about the issue either but rather to Brees response. There is obviously a problem, that doesn’t mean we have to agree with your solution or else we’re wrong. What if no one took a stance like Drew Brees did. It could bother him but why is it only okay that the other side is allowed to speak out? People seem to only want dialogue when it supports their agenda. I’m not taking a side but this was more productive than the 7 days of violent riots. Open discourse means people are AT LEAST willing to listen to the other side. No one should feel ashamed to give their opinion as long as it isn’t Clearly racist

I'd be fine with getting rid of social media altogether. I feel like TheFrenzy, but it's destroying society.

The idea that we need to take one absolute and unquestionable take regarding anything is a mess, and it only furthers divide.

Like with Kaepernick. The flag/disrespect thing usually ends up to people pointing to what a veteran thinks. So what's the correct stance? What race they are? How they feel? If a white vet thinks it's disrespectful, it that wrong? If a black or spanish vet thinks it's disrespectful, is that as wrong as the white guy saying it? Is saying there are better ways to express your feelings inherently wrong, regardless of race?

Are governors asking President Trump for active duty US military or is this merely his idea?

Obviously, during the LA Riots in 1992, Pete Wilson asked HW for the Marines.

The problem is, Brees didn’t listen to the other side. He was too busy talking about his grandpas service. Maybe Malcom Jenkins story about how his grandparents were treated after returning from war will get Bees to listen.

That opens a dialogue right? That video didn't happen UNTIL AFTER Drew Brees responded. I'd much rather have these conversations on here than turn on my TV to see riots. I have no problem with Jenkins or Brees because they both are using their voice to support what they believe is important. If you can't see it both ways I can't open your eyes.
