Meh. Black-yellow combo always reminds me of Pittsburg teams.

Honestly the Celtics should trade Smart and get a PG - maximize his career year. Smart/Horford for Brogdon/Turner

I'd like to see the Celts target Lonzo, but I guess the Bulls don't deal. They could definitely use Smart and say White tho... Something with the Jazz seems most likely, considering where Ainge landed.

They need a PG but I think Conley doesn’t move the needle for them, might get them similar results when they had Kemba, especially at the expense of losing Smart.

Conley will be 35 this season and is on the decline. He'd be a great backup somewhere, but don't think he could be PG on a championship team unless he was piece 4 or 5 of a super team.

His playoff performance this season was very bad. Not as bad as those hideous new jerseys, but bad.

Are the C's allowed to trade with the Lakers or does the 'rivalry' between these two teams not allow for this type of hi-jinks

Why would the Pacers do that?

as a Spurs fan, this is the most exciting part of the season for us...the offseason, where we make franchise altering signings and trades...

said no Spurs fan ever

so i expect us to probably sign some nobody from nowhere that will eventually contribute to the team

Still love those blue jerseys with the mountains. Teams used to have really creative jerseys.

I'm wondering what the Hawks will do, I've heard they'll go hard after Ayton and I've heard rumors around the #4th and #7th pick and I've heard Gobert, Simmons, and Grant.

I'm definitely in favor of trading Capela, not as much in favor of trading JC unless I got a lottery pick but trading JC likely means having to acquire Jerami Grant or playing Onyeka at PF.

It's pretty clear what they need - stronger defensive pieces and a secondary offensive talent

Why are they still called the Jazz from their New Orleans move from 1979? It's time to move on....

Interesting article on the Celtics in the Athletic, basically pinpoints strengths, weaknesses, moves forward.

Also, unlikely, given the substantial outlay and luxury tax, but Tatum's pal Beal could be a wildcard.
There is also a chance he lands on a team like Lakers. If I had $20k I could see the 2012-13 Prizm Gold as a play.

I saw that the Lakers are "interested" but have no idea how they'd get him.

I don't think it's impossible, but it seems unlikely. The positive way to spin it is the 76ers had the highest offensive rating in the NBA during the regular season with Embiid/Harden lineups. The downside is that if you actually watched Harden as the season winded down and into the playoffs, it's clear he's lost the quickness that once made him the most lethal scorer in the game. He has to rely way too much on his bag of tricks and drawing fouls to be seen as a viable second option, and his care for his body isn't on par with guys like Steph and Lebron where you'd expect him to age well. He very well may fall off a cliff, unfortunately. I think they're in that Memphis/Miami/Denver group where it's not out of the realm of possibility, but it's unlikely. I intend to be super obnoxious regardless of how well we do.

I think they're too talented on paper to give favorable odds on. At this point, you set the odds based on Simmons/Kyrie/KD playing and clicking together, and if anyone wants to bet it, great. As the season goes and their disarray continues, the odds slide heavier to the + side.

According to Shams there are issues around the Kyrie situation, and there is talks he might opt for free agency. I'd assume if Irving is gone you're likely moving Simmons and blowing things up.

The site tried to hit me with a subscription requirement as I tried to scroll in the article. At any rate, I can't see why any team in the league would want Kyrie. He's possibly the worst locker room type guy in the NBA. I think you can build around Simmons and Durant, but the "sign a bunch of old vets and hope for the best" approach isn't likely to work out.

Default Here it is

However, multiple sources tell The Athletic that conversations about Irving’s future have gone stagnant between him and the Nets. An impasse currently exists among the parties that clears the way for the seven-time All-Star to consider the open marketplace, those sources said. The Lakers, Knicks, and Clippers are the teams that they report in the article that would have interest.
