After I bought the card it was odd… it showed up as already being in a shipment but when I tried to rush it the option to ship went away. Anyway - I opened up a ticket with them almost immediately and kept checking it throughout the day for a few days. Before they responded, after a couple days I was able to ship it regular and rushed. |

Mine was a little different being shipped direct from my epack and not a purchase on comc so I didn’t see any of that. Have no idea what’s going on, all I know expected delivery date was today and hasn’t even shipped yet. The biggest issue of course is I would have to have this in hand by the end of the year or the entire thing is for naught, but that’s a long ways off. I still can’t believe Upper Deck doesn’t just let you redeem this all online. There should be no unnecessary physical mailing for any of this.

When I submit cards from home to COMC it takes about 2-3 weeks for them to process into my inventory and even once they are processed they will have the “stored remotely” designation for a few days… up to about a week. So I wait until that goes away before sending anything into slab.

Thank you for your shipment request with COMC! We apologize for not meeting our estimated ship date. Our time to fulfill orders has increased because of extraordinarily high demand. Our shipping team is working diligently to close the gap on these delays. As a gesture of our appreciation for your business and patience, a $5 discount will be automatically applied to the next order placed before January 14, 2025 from your account on COMC.com. We’re working hard to optimize joy for collectors. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience our delay has caused you. The odd thing was - I had just put the shipment request in for the day before... |

Heck maybe even beyond comc, and overloading the mail itself, as there seems to be significant issues with delays in the hub around there. I have 2 USPS express packages that are 1-day guaranteed delivery, sent out by comc last week, still have not moved from a Seattle hub. Clearly that’s not right. It’s becoming quite the challenge to get MM22 stuff sent home for me, but it could very well be just everything is massively delayed (whats new for COMC…). The last time they did that $5 credit was when they were utterly backlogged back around January from those promotions they were doing.

COMC is definitely getting slammed. I try to get stuff in before Black Friday and my most recent sub that would normally take 2 weeks was given a 3-week “due by” window. I guess everyone tries to beat the holiday shipping rush. I have one more in yesterday and likely will sub one next week as well. Then probably won’t sub until early January.

Well I got my answer why my express 1-day packages haven’t moved since Friday. Apparently my above guess was correct that MM22 is literally backlogging the USPS distribution center up there. My PO said the distribution center rapidly got like 750+ express packages last week, and now it’s a total backlog.
Everyone having their MM22 stuff sent home at the same time I guess, and it automatically goes Express if the value of contents is above a certain amount, which many of these MM22 packages no doubt are.

Crazy!
Glad I put my order in a day after MM release and received the cards a week later. |

Thanks DynaEtch. I was getting worried about my cards and was going to reach out to the USPS today if it did not move. Hopefully they can work through the backlog quickly.

Edit- shipping issue cleared up, just comc/usps being comc/usps as usual.

When a big set drops there’s enough work for a hundred men. When a crap set drops, 5 men can do the job.

It looks like they've worked through some of the backlong. I got my COMC package today. It pinged at the post office about a mile from me and then arrived here a few hours later. DynaEtch and everyone else, I hope you get your cards soon. I'm still sorting through mine.

Edit: mine is *finally* showing some movement on tracking. So it should eventually get here I think.

COMC shipment arrived yesterday and I submitted the preliminary art redemption to UD. It said the item is in stock and should ship soon. I believe there is an identifier of some sort but still no way to tell which piece I ended up with.
I have seen the list of 65 or so on Facebook that dos santos posted and found a few on eBay. I also recall seeing Blade being sold. A couple weeks ago he had a Patreon auction where he was selling the remaining preliminary art/transfers that he kept for himself. There are still some good names on the list so there is definitely potential but there is also some potential for a laugh. |

Dan Dos Santos September 6, 2023 · I figured I would go ahead and make an official list of all the 65 Preliminary Art pieces of mine that Upper Deck is in possession of. All of this preliminary art (the exact same art featured on the cards) can be acquired through the 'sketch redemption' cards. There are plenty of great ones in there up for grabs that I really wish I could have have kept for myself. I’m finally getting around to putting some large shipments I got in from COMC into my set binders.
I’m sure others have noticed, but several of the base/gold foil/what if’s do have minor nicks to corners. Others significant chipping on back edges. Multiple to the point I need to even rebuy the card (thankfully not too expensive for most). The problem is many cards in this set have dark backgrounds, and the white nicks on the front of the card really show on corners. The gold foils you can’t do anything for since they are stock photos/uncirculated. But I blame myself partly for not looking at the base/what if ones closely on comc before buying, and just adding cheapest in each bucket since I assumed most were direct from epack and so should be NM/MT. Far from it, for some of them.

Thought this was kinda funny. I can barely tell the difference between Holofoil speckle and Holofoil small dots, in person. They do have different patterns but man do they run together. Can turn the card over and see if it’s numbered, I guess that’s the easy way to differentiate.
Cards in toploaders on top are speckle. Beneath are regular small dots. Basically all looks similar ![]()
