Couldn't imagine going to these games with the U.S. Open crowd. Parking and train must be insane

Even had he been solid as of late, he probably wouldn't have been slotted to get many starts (if any) simply because the Mets already have their first 3 pretty much set.

Let's not talk about the playoffs anymore. I don't like it, makes me feel weird. Wait until they clinch... Man this is gonna be a long couple weeks.

Traffic to the Saturday game was brutal. Left at noon (I live about 35 miles away in North Jersey), and I got there at 1:40. Can only imagine how bad the traffic was for people who left later.

Damn Niese and costing them so many runs already. Mets gonna have to go against the B Phillies bull-pen ... hope they can scratch across a couple.

I feel for Parnell. But he shouldn't be on this team.

That was embarrassing. The same level he had in the Pittsburgh series. Him time is officially done as a Met; I don't expect to see him pitch again.

What could have been.

Screw Parnel. He's always been trash and he probably still thinks he should be the closer.

Damn, back to 5.5.

Not taking advantage of the schedule. I just have that feeling watching them get pounded by Philadelphia ...

No; but can't lose these ones. -250 favorite and getting shelled. Just before a 10 game road-trip.

Ever since they got home, Mets have been playing bad baseball. Still in this funk.

That's baseball. The reason they're in the situation they're in was because they did take advantage of the schedule pretty much the entire year - this is only going to be their second loss against Philly. Can still very easily take 2 of 3 which is never a bad thing.

Losing 2-0 is one thing; but giving up 14 runs in 6 innings at Citi field says something else.

But it's still just one loss. A whole new ballgame tomorrow.
