My rule of thumb is that most cards numbered <100 or worth ~$15+ go into the z folio. I think the only exception is if it's part of a rainbow, then it likely stays in the binder.

For sure, but just to clarify: there are toploaded card binders, which I think hold less cards per page. And then there are the z-folios that hold cards in penny sleeves that aren't toploaded. They hold 9 cards (or up to 12?) just like a regular binder but the cards are protected in the sleeves. I imagine that would be better for sets than toploaded binders due to the quantity of cards and # of cards per page held in the toploader ones.

2016-17 Donruss Optic - The Rookies Holo
Insert Parallel 5/5 Cards

Really clean set. Looks great in silver/holo. Not the best selection from this draft (probably would want Jaylen Brown, Siakam, Jamal Murray and Sabonis here...but that's easy to say in hindsight).

This draft also included a x3 champion who is no longer in the league. Not too many with that on their resume but who only played about 6 years.

Got Hardaway and Derozan. Only Lebron left. With the drop in prices he might be somewhat affordable now.

The King is in the house and so this one is done and dusted. Just quickly on Lebron, I am not his biggest fan but I think he's an incredible player. That nickname though...ugh.

These look nice and are quite condition-sensitive. I haven't looked at pop-reports but I'd be curious as to how these grade. Maybe not popular to grade as they are not at all rare (about $1 per card for these).

Insert Parallel - 24/30 Cards

Simple and clean, looks nice and shiny. Interesting draft class. Wiseman was really unfortunate. Patrick Williams' contract looks pretty concerning for me (I wouldn't be confident in Quickley's either). It's a shame Lamelo has been so injury-prone. Whether he's a winner or not is debatable, but he's definitely entertaining when he's playing. Nesmith turned out to be a nice pickup for the Pacers in the Brogdon trade.

2021-22 Hoops - Tribute
Subset - 13/20 Cards

Hoops did a number of these tribute sets recently where they were clearly a specific tribute to a prior release (late 80s and early 90s Hoops base). As far as I can tell, this one isn't clearly tied to a prior release, unless there was a specific subset they were mirroring (a 'League Leader' type of subset).

Depends on the value. Lower end I keep in ultra Pro binders and sets that have some value I keep in top loaders stores in the BCW Collectible card bins. In either case they are not exactly displayed, but they seem pretty safe this way.

Yes, COMC is invaluable for this stuff. They seem to have recently increased their pricing to ship out bulk though?

I liked the more cartoonish-style of the My House! for 20-21, and the purple prizms look great.

2015-16 Prizm - Light Blue Prizm Base /199
Subset 300/300 Cards

Took about 10 years to complete this one, probably one of my favorites. Took about 2 years to find the last 5 cards I was missing. Michael Redd was the trickiest one. I'm assuming people couldn't be bothered putting him on Ebay because there's no market for him? For many years there was actually one listed for 150 USD (PSA 10), but I'd rather wait another 10 years than paying that much. Finally it popped up for $10.

Yeah I wish I had the rookies. Jokic rookie to /199 Prizm is a bit pricey. I think you could argue he's cheap compared to other greats, but it's still a lot of money.
