I might go as far as sending them a message asking why you were never asked to correct anything...but that would be the extent of it...one neutral shouldn't scare any buyers away

If they'd opened a case I would've refunded the order and not thought twice about it, but I'm not sure how to handle this since a) it's been almost four months, and b) they didn't seem too concerned about it?

I'm debating if I should reach out and ask them to open an issue so I can refund them or just leave well enough alone since I'm not terribly worried about having one neutral on my report card and they don't seem too mad about being out five bucks. Curious if anyone has thoughts on how best to handle it.

It's been dead quiet for me lately. I'm still new and ramping up inventory (just crossed 17k cards in inventory today), but things dramatically dropped off the last week or two. Also majority baseball, some football and hockey mixed in.

Nov '23: 54 orders, approx. $145
Dec '23: 68 - $143
Jan '24: 58 - $145
Feb '24: 53 - $95

As of today (3/18): 21 orders, $35

I didn't think you were allowed to leave a negative without starting the issue process.

Edit: sorry, I see it was a neutral, not negative. Reading!

New feature just added to Sportlots allows you to filter on more than one seller at a time. Check out this short (1:20) video on how this works.

@sportlots

I'm in the process of updating a lot of inventory and see that a lot of them don't have teams assigned. I see the fix button and it's easy to add the correct assigned team.

Is this an actual help to you, or am I wasting time? I'll continue to add teams that are missing if it's helpful, but don't want to be spinning my wheels if it's not needed.

Thanks!

You Bet! Also a help for you and anyone else who has this card in inventory. Once you add and it's been approved by someone on our team, any customer who searches by that team will be able to find this card.

There is over 12 Million Baseball, Basketball, Football, Hockey and Soccer cards in our database. Overall, we are still under 50% completed with loading teams, but every little bit helps!

Had an interesting order this AM

976 cards, Baseball, Basketball & Football...all 2021-2023, 99% of them were rookies...

100% of the cards were $.20 each. They didn't even splurge on a $.30 card...every. single. one. was a minimum priced card.

Not complaining, just struck me as interesting

SO MANY TEENY TINY ORDERS WITH HUGE PAYPAL FEES IN RELATION TO ORDER SIZE LATELY!

10 CARDS - $3.80 - $.69 PP FEE
4 CARDS - $2.82 - $.42 PP FEE
1 CARD - $7.48 - $.68 PP FEE
9 CARDS - $2.42 - $.49 PP FEE
10 CARDS - $2.00 - $.42 PP FEE

$18.52 net = $2.70 in fees = a 14.5% fee rate from paypal on individual seller orders on top of SL fees.

There REALLY should be a pop-up when someone tries to check out for an amount under $5 from one seller alerting them to the high fee burden this purchase will impose on the seller. I know I have adjusted my purchasing habits on SL to ensure I buy from multiple sellers at once if at all possible so spread out the burden...almost all buyers are sellers on other platforms, people will understand and adjust habits if they are informed!

I swear I get at least one order a week where someone buys a single 20 cent base card and nothing else, meaning I'm basically paying to send them the card after Paypal fees. I just chalk it up as a cost of doing business on the platform, personally, but it can be pretty annoying.

Yep, this is my 5th month selling, and the last week or so has been the first time I've paid any attention to the PP fees...it just seems there are a lot more single-seller orders I'm getting my way that made me notice it.

You're 100% correct, it is just a cost of doing business, but it could be mitigated if buyers are more clearly informed how their purchasing habits affect sellers.

I charge $1 to ship a single card PWE. Part of the reason is the PayPal fees.

I typically say about 7-10 days - with most leaning towards 7. It really depends on when you hit a seller in the cycle. If it is right after they shipped out their last order, it will be longer. Same goes for when it is at the end of their shipping cycle.

I feel like he meant when does sportlots ship out a box after the box owner requests it.

That's been my experience, but I have one that has not shipped.

Where can I find a breakdown of how much it will cost to have my box shipped to me before I place any orders?

Not sure what you mean by this. On your Orders "In Box" tab, there should be an estimate at the bottom of how much it will cost to ship what's in your box.

I think it starts at $4.75-$5.00 and goes up from there as you add cards.

I buy small to medium quantities of singles and usually set my mental threshold around a 75 cent savings to ship to the box. Otherwise it isn't worth it and I just have it sent straight to me.

Thanks for the insight. I’ve never shipped anything to the box before so I’m trying to figure out when it makes sense.

Sportlots sellers, please check the website shipping rules. Had a couple of sellers in the last few weeks ship with PWEs when I paid for Premium. According to the site it's supposed to be in a bubble mailer.

Forgive me if this has already been answered. In the new format on Sportlots, how do you search inventory by seller??
I had ordered 5 cards to complete a couple of sets, 3 cards, which were all SPs, were shorted by the seller, so now I have a full credit to use. Trying to figure out how to search inventory by individual seller-not just an individual set, they're entire inventory.
Thanks.

Once you add an item from a seller to your shopping cart, then go the cart and click the little magnifying glass icon next the seller name. It'll bring up the seller's inventory.

It's kind of a roundabout way to get to it, rather than just clicking on the card details page.

Also, if you just go to Sportlots.com, click on the magnifying glass next to the search bar (without adding anything in the search bar), this will give you a warning message to let you know you can't have an empty search term unless you select a seller. Then, click on the "Pick A Seller" dropdown on the left side and start typing the seller ID you want. The system will highlight the seller, select it and you will get all of their inventory.

This doesn't really work on Android. It's just a radio button list sorted by highest item count.
