Dog with fleas. Only way Trout gets dealt is for another bad contract. You're not getting value in return.

You're living in fantasy land. Ask a 70 year old ex-model how well merch sales are going these days. Trout's time has passed.

Trout would 100% sell tickets. Wouldn't count on dude being washed quite yet lol. And he got traded to Philly for example, he would sell an insane amount of merch and season tickets.

He's also due 7/$260M and his contract is over at a younger age than both Xander Bogaerts and Trea Turner. There may be some decline but man, he would absolutely get that deal on the free market this off season.

The Reds could definitely afford the contract...they have 3 million on the books for 2024 as of today.

Trout would bring back value to LA, just not as much as it would have maybe 3 years ago...obviously.

Elly may not have the best numbers this year, but he is the kind of player that puts butts into seats.

Not an Elly hater, just a Reds fan. The Reds have a strange problem and that is they have too many VERY good young infielders. Elly can play SS and 3B. The Reds have Marte and Steer for those spots, both better baseball players than Elly at this point

I would venture a guess that basically every team could fit a Trout contract on their books. Hell even if the Padres feel Soto won't resign, a Soto for Trout deal could make sense.

If true.... it's getting harder and harder to come up with excuses for the guy. He just wants to play with no pressure to win. Collect his checks and not have to miss any Eagles home games after October 1st.

We really can’t blame him. The Birds have been on a roll the last few years.

I'm excited to pick up a base copy this off-season. His cards were obviously so inflated.

I checked my records and back on July 26, 2015, I purchased a 2011 Topps Update Mike Trout PSA 10 for $145.00. I think the card will continue to drop in value, but not to that amount. Where do you see the card bottoming out at?

Base hit $6,000+ at it's peak. I believe PSA 10 Diamonds were $25,000+... $20,000+ for sure.

These prices are crazy to see.

The baseball offseason is LOOOOONG. His season didn't end the best and everything we have read is that he's totally fine staying on the Angels and not asking for a trade. If that's true and we don't hear anything different, I don't see his cards having a very good future.

If Ohtani leaves, the Angels won't have much of a team. Trout will be on a team thats 38 games out of first and he will be able to go watch the Eagles starting in October.

I wouldn't be surprised to see his PSA 10 base dipping below $700.

Reggie, you or anyone know anything about this card?

Not mine, but apparently pulled as a loose card in a pack from Costco

That image is a bit deceiving. It almost gives you the idea that before 2017 Trout played in a lot of post season games.

The actual reality of Trout is just 3 post season games since 2011.

Corbin Carroll actually reminds me a lot of a young Mike Trout. The big difference is that Carroll has already learned how to selflessly lead a team in just his 2nd year while Trout is in year 14 just picking up checks and playing only for Mike Trout.
