The reason you might feel you're getting a little guff/attitude is that it appears (not is, just appears) that you are upset that:

a) the cards you thought might be 10s are not being seen as 10s by the fairly knowledgable community here. Some of whom I trust the opinion of highly.

b) The goldmine you hoped for might not be a goldmine.

c) PSA doesn't grade the way you want to - giving you a 10, and the big payout that goes with that for premium cards.

The hobby is confusing and contradictory and subject to forces both organic and artificial. Best make peace with that now, or you will be frustrated and not find a lot of use for the boards.

Having said that - I hope you do get 10s. Submit them at the low tier and hope they get 10s and that you have the first-world problem of being upcharged. I sent in Rice RCs at the low tier before.

You have some nice 49ers cards. Just maybe not a new car out of it.

i don’t grade cards, so i’d default to the people here, they’re pretty smart/experienced with this sort of thing. that said, they look good to me, and there’s only one way to find out what psa thinks…

on another note, these first two weeks of sports betting being legal in ohio took me back to the good old days. sites tripping over each other to give out the most free money…

Great find! After a quick look, the first Rice seems to have right edge damage on the bottom right. The second has black dots on the front also called "PD" or "Print Defect" and the top two corners are soft. The last one is OC and has a slight touch to the top left corner. The first card is your best chance at grading high but I dont believe it meets Gem Mint criteria. There is a reason 1986 is tough to grade and a PSA 10 Jerry Rice goes for almost 6-figures. Beckett graded this a 9, and it looks awful. If this is a 9 by Beckett maybe I should send the best Rice over there and hope for a 10.

Anyone think sending it to Beckett would be a good idea as opposed to PSA?
