Question Transaction Question

I sold a 07-08 Chronology True Rookie Auto Kevin Durant to my_onni for $400 goods via PayPal. I believe he was hurt recently and I wish him all the best. He paid on September 1st and after some slight confusion I shipped it to him on September 25th (or around there.) He is located in Canada so I knew shipping would take some time. DC# LK149422863US It says the package is in transit. On October 1, he filed a claim to protect himself in case it did not arrive. Today, October 9th, PayPal closed the case and refunded him the money. I know he is injured and most likely will not respond to any of my messages for a couple days. I also know it was my fault for shipping so late. So does it usually take this long to get to Canada? I know he is a good guy and hopefully sends me the $$ back once he receives the card. Should I contact PayPal? Thanks any help is greatly appreciated!
