the guy with 6-10 tables, you may be referring to tim payne from iowa.

he has overhead lamps on each of his cases and organizes by year.

really good guy, amazing stuff. prices.....a smidge on the high side, BUT,
he moves a ton of product, so, maybe it's just me. i do like him alot and
have bought select cards from him over the years.

the guy in joliet was tommy larsen, he's "huge", has AMAZING inventory.
again, prices a smidge on the high side, but, pretty easy to deal with.
he also moves a TON of upper end product.
(i also set up at the last joliet show lol, but my collection pales in comparison to tommy's)

Thank you, vintg. Ya, 35-40 minute drive for me. Plenty of vintage booths. I feel like fewer cards stood out to me at the spectacular this year but I also didn't dive into booths as much either. This was only my second time going but I've left feeling pretty good each time.. The vintage booth that stood out to me was a gentleman who I bought a 1956 Topps Mays from at The National when it was in Chicago. He had 6-10 tables and the cards were ordered by year from the 40s-50s with multiple cards for HOFS for each year. That's not uncommon to see at a show but his collection really stood out from the rest, I felt. He was pretty busy so I didn't dig through any of his cards. Saw a good vintage collector that I saw setup in Joliet one time, too.
