What is up for discussion and should be surprising is that a card dropped $3000 to $100 in 12 months.

Name me another card that has done this. Even Wander Franco bangin' underaged ninitas didn't crater any specific card to that extent.

This specific case is a combo of:
1) shiny object effect --> as 99.9% of posters have accurately identified
2) massive overpay/overvaluation of rare SSP RC inserts from first release products. And not any SSP, it seems like the market at the time thought that these would be rare/highly coveted. 12 months later, the hobby only cares of Downtowns and Kabooms.

#2 is playing a much larger significant role in this specific cards decline.
