Default Replacement experience for outstanding Panini redemptions

I just went through the process of trying to negotiate replacements for my outstanding redemptions with Panini and wanted to share my experience in the hope that it helps somebody else in the future. As most of you would expect, it was a miserable experience that left me asking why I even support this garbage company. The below details are in order in which they happened.

Called Panini's contact line and pressed 1 for redemptions. waited on hold for about five minutes.

Was connected to somebody who walked through my existing redemptions and we discussed how to handle the exchange. We talked about lumping five redemptions as one option and a second option of including a higher value card in addition to the original five. The Panini associate then looked up current market value of existing redemptions.

personal note* - It's my belief that making customers wait upwards of 120 days at minimum to request a replacement and then another 120 days to be able to negotiate a trade only benefits Panini. By the time you are able to negotiate a trade, the value of most cards drop significantly in value. all of my redemptions are from boxes that were either purchased on or around release day and the value should be accounted for when the redemption was submitted.

The assessment of value that the Panini associate came back with was $225 and I valued the total lot at $400. She then contacted a manager offsite via chat to source replacements. Below are the offers they made. each offer is for the entire lot and only two offers had a combination of cards. I forget which set some of them were from but what they were numbered to is exact.

1. 2016 Noir Philip Lahm /99 - Later removed as it was damaged
2. Alex Awobi book auto /99 and Ashley Cole auto /99 combo
3. Ryan Giggs auto /25 (considered this one highly but he beats women and slept with his brothers wife)
4. Xavi Hernandes immaculate /99
5. Rivaldo auto /99
6. Jerrod Borgetti auto /99
7. Rivaldo auto /99 and Ashley cole auto /99 combo

*note* I asked about a white box and the value of your redemptions need to be $1000 or higher.

As you can see, no individual offer matched their assessment and they were unable to combine offers. I tried to negotiate a deal for Xavi and Rivaldo but they were not interested. If that deal went through, It still would have been $75 lower than their assessment.

So ya, expect Panini to undervalue your cards, overvalue theirs, not even come close to their own assessment, leave no room for negotiating, and have no sympathy for you, the customer. This is not an equitable relationship, Panini doesn't care about you.

Shoutout to the associate that was very nice and tried her best. I made sure to let her know that this was not her fault and that I appreciated her help. For now, I will not be looking to replace existing redemptions and will continue to wait for them to be fulfilled in a manor they seem fit or get sparkle packs/points.

Hope this helps some of you, if you are considering the replacement option.

God speed!
