Pizza Hut did have a comic giveaway in 93, it was an x-men mini series



They had a 2-card promo set released around this time (through Pizza Hut), many people might remember them.

I believe these were totally separate from the vending stickers, which were just in coin-op machines filled with general prism stickers on the premises. One clue is the above were licensed promos, presumably from an agreement between Pizza Hut and Marvel, whereas the vending stickers were completely unauthorized.
