Worst Season Ever?

Those specific players -- Acuna, Tatis, Trout, Wander, Soto and Vlad -- being injured, suspended or not performing up to expectations is a disaster for the hobby hype machine.

But as others have pointed out, there is plenty to be excited about this season: Judge is having a great season -- Ohtani is as well. Julio Rodriguez is helping the Mariners try to make the postseason for the first time in over 20 years. Adley Rutschman's emergence has coincided with the Orioles turning their franchise around. The big market teams are doing great. The Braves and Mets are fighting it out for the top spot in the NL East. Verlander is back dominating again. Arenado and Goldschmidt are a hell of tag team. The AL central is very competitive.

There's plenty to like and follow. I don't watch the games anymore but I enjoy following the news and listening to analysis.
