Had to leave my first negative feedback
Never left a negative on eBay before and tbh I feel kind of bad but think it was justified. I bought and paid a low value card on 10-23. I buy cards almost daily so I am not keeping close attention to the lower dollar ones. On 11-20 (yes a month later) I am told it finally shipped with limited tracking. There was not a single message from the seller and the tracking was limited and never even shown that it actually made it to the post office. On 12-1 I finally reached out to seller and asked if he knew where the card may be? That's it, I didn't ask for a refund or anything just simply any update. Within a couple hours I got a message that my money was refunded.
I thought it was poor business to first wait a month to ship and even if it was a mistake not even send a message explaining. Then when I simply asked for an update there was zero communication so I did leave a negative which was this sellers first neg but has under 150 transactions. I was just asked to revise the feedback from the seller but his messages is what really peeved me.
He stated "It was an honest mistake and you (meaning me) get a refund and get to keep the card but still hit me with a negative?" I then look at his comment under the negative review and it writes "Truly sorry for the misunderstanding either return the card or a return refund". WHOA there! You can still see from the tracking the card was never delivered. DO NOT imply I am keeping your card and money. That makes me look like a thief and that is not cool. So I declined the revision and wrote back that I would have bumped it to a neutral if he didn't make me look like I stole the card.
Was I to harsh? I now am worried about any retaliation the seller may try to do? He never left me any feedback originally and don't want to be left a negative or anything over a salty seller. I did block the seller. I just don't want anything more to come out of this.
