where is he going to stand on offense? in Capela's lane? It also pushes out Collins further - not that he can't shoot, but a big part of his game is slashing in for lobs and offensive boards - Simmons will drag his defender down there and clog up everything.
Simmons is a great individual defender, but he's not a team D anchor like Capela is.
I really don't see how need him, how we'd use him, and how we'd pay whatever price Morey wants [plus match salaries].
This is a very young team that just went to the ECF - this is the type of team you run it back with. And not ruin chemistry to go grab a guy who can't even play in a crunchtime playoff game. If we want to sell on a 3-for-1 type deal ton consolidate talent, we should grab a star vet who can create offense in the big games, which is the exact opposite of what Simmons is.
