Question BGS mislabeled, fake, or something else?

I recently purchased a card on Ebay that I'm hoping someone can help me understand the grading on. The card is a 1987 Panini #168 Holyfield / Diaz Beckett graded 9.5 and the registry # is 0001611345. When I do a search in the system it shows the card as being real, but the numbers are wild and it is not categorized correctly as I can't find it by going through the set lookup. I have contacted Beckett directly 3 times now and each time have received the same response, which is a copy of the record saying there are over 20,000 BGS graded cards from this year. Are there really 968 copies of this card graded higher than this one or am I looking at something wrong?

Any help is appreciated!
