It wasn't the fact that he didn't sign that bothered me, I've been turned down by guys like Pierce before but at least Pierce would joke around that he was late for a meeting or something stupid like that. To completely ignore a child at a Celtics game was a complete lack of disrespect to me and I unfortunately think of that first when thinking of KG.
I agree 100%, collecting is about the sport and the player not the person. I still have a few cards of his in my PC as well. Good luck with your PC!
