First Kobe stuff spiked with his death, and people said his stuff was undervalued. Then the argument was Lebron was undervalued relative to Kobe and others and that caused a spike. Now Jordan is undervalued relative to Lebron. I see threads saying - well with Jordan rise in price is Kobe next?

When does that pattern end? I’m not saying prices will crash, I’m not saying money can’t be made or there is no legitimate sales. But, I’d love to know how many legit collectors are buying 2500 metal base cards or 5500 PSA 8s.

There are more collectors now and most of them spend in the $1K-5K range. With more collectors and more disposable income, I am afraid this will continue until most of the cards go past $1000. We are not there yet! There are still many LeBron RC's and Jordan inserts that are available for less than $1000. The collector base and spending threshold will continue to increase in the long run imo. We may see dips here and there but the prices will go up in the long run similar to stock market. This is my prediction and I could be wrong.
