First of all...great items you have there.

Without any documentation by the player from which these items were received from, provenance is going to be very hard to prove. Hopefully you have something from the player that states where the items came from and the significance of them. If you have rock solid provenance I don't have any doubt that the glove and ball could easily reach 5k and perhaps 10K if the right bidders are involved.

As for the Hall of Fame paying for items, they don't. I have no doubt they would be more than happy to accept these items but they would need provenance as well.

As for the Pirates giving you anything for the glove and ball, well if you have rock solid provenance then they may do something but the hopes of getting season tickets for it are more than likely going to be out of the question. You will get an offer of 4 tickets to a game of their choice and a tour of the clubhouse and you can be on field for batting practice but that is going to be it.

For maximum financial return I would reach out to Heritage or Robert Edwards Auctions so that they can include the ball and glove in their next auction. These auction houses have incredible followings and always seem to have the best returns for items. You have to remember that without rock solid provenance they probably wont even sniff at selling these items as this will be just another baseball and glove that anyone could obtain. IF you have the provenance and the auction house wants to sell your item for you, you will have to pay them a percentage of whatever the item brings from the proceeds of the sale. Since these items are of a higher profile I would certainly negotiate a better premium with the auction house so that you can take home more cash in your pocket and not give it to the house.
